APPEAL AND MOTION ON BEHALF OF RESPONDENT: ON BEHALF OF DHS: Carlton L. Hume, Esquire
The respondent, a native and citizen of Jamaica, was ordered removed from the United States on February 17, 2012. On March 19, 2012, the respondent filed a motion to reopen. The Immigration Judge denied it on April 9, 2012, and this appeal followed. On April 15, 2013, the Department of Homeland Security filed a motion for administrative closure of the proceedings indicating that the respondent was unopposed to the motion. The motion will be granted, and the proceedings will be reopened and administratively closed.
If either party to this case wishes to reinstate the proceedings, a written request to reinstate
the proceedings may be made to the Board. The Board will take no further action in the case unless a request is received from one of the parties. The request must be submitted directly to the Clerk's Office, without fee, but with certification of service on the opposing party. Accordingly, the following order will be entered. ORDER: The proceedings before the Board and administratively closed.
