I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me. St. John 10:14 I like the story that the late Tip ONeil tells on himself. ONeil had a chance encounter with a man while waiting in an airport. After a few minutes, the man said to ONeill, Say, you dont recognize me, do you? No, I really dont think so, said the Senator. You see, said the Senator, I am so well known. I have this big shock of white hair and this large red nose, and Im on the TV news two or three times a week. A lot of people recognize me, but I cant keep track of all the people I meet. Who are you? The man answered, We met at a dinner party about six weeks ago in Washington D.C. My name is Robert Redford! Im so glad that someone besides me has diculty with names. Tip ONeill may not have known your name, my good friend, but God does!! God is intimately involved with His world and in the lives of each of His children. I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me. St. John 10:14 See you soon! Pastor Dean Kelly

H AY RI DE F U N !
An all-church hayride was held Sunday, October 6, starting out at Chapel at 4 pm and ending at Dan and Tricia Steens lovely home by Union Grove Lake. The coolness made for perfect hayride weather. Dan & Sarah Beane pulled two wagons, lled with nearly 50 people, around the lake on the way to our destination. Some of us eagerly sipped hot cider and coee while sitting on Steens large deck while others were around the bonre. Besides Dans grilled brats and hot dogs, we enjoyed chips, baked beans, pumpkin roll-ups, Halloween party mix, pop, and bars. A big thank you to the food committee, Janice Collins, Carol Lamer, Karen Handorf, and Tricia Steen, and a special thanks to YFers, Logan Burt, Tyson Strayer and Noah Thurston for comingIt was a great night of fellowship, fun and food with friends!
