Texprocess is the new leading international trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials. Outstanding advantages: The Digi-Pen relieved the digitizing of cut parts and patterns. He replaced the usual Digi-Boards by a fraction of the required space. Thereby an unprecedented mobility and flexibility is possible. The patterns to digitize are placed under the special Digitize-Foil (A0 format) and the operator has to guide the pen along the contour. Different modes differs the digitized points (Outline, drawing line, reference,...). After finishing digitizing, the Digi-Pen has to be inserted into the docking station. This is directly connected through USB with the CAD computer and the data on the pen is automatically imported and displayed in OptiTex PDS. Afterwards the imported patterns can be modified directly.

These include the basic threading diagrams in pdf form through garment specs using PLM/pdf format to machine diagnostics and service planning. Pfaff are the first sewing machine company to pioneer this technology development. The second innovation is in the field of Sonic Welding for man made and smart materials.

The new product development made by TYPICALs German engineering and design department is leaving the conventional way of a sewing machines structure. Instead of a housing as main unit that carries all mechanical parts this so-called "frame" now simply plays a supporting role and can be easily exchanged. All functional components are merged in "technology modules", which are fully interchangeable. The factory pre-settings guarantee an exchange of modules without further adjustments. With this innovation the customer is able to adapt the machine to any future change of requirements if necessary-In a few minutes for example, it is possible to convert a flatbed into a long arm machine. In case of technical aid the mechanic has the choice to exchange the module and through this reduce downtime and bottlenecks in the production. To increase flexibility and to reduce production costs every VETRON machine runs without compressed air. Due to the standardized design, the machine production and assembly process is optimized, the delivery time and costs of special machines are reduced. Furthermore, the modular design saves prospective development times and expenses in the future. The system is developed to be open to various future technological developments in addition to todays sewing and welding operations.
