1. Purpose The purpose of this method of statement is to establish a guideline detailed procedure to provide safe procedure to be adopting for execution of grounding cable cad welding. This activity is under BI-00914-10 at BGP. Inspection of the erected items based on as per approved work drawings.
2. Scope This CMS is applicable for grounding cable cad welding and relevant activity.
3. Responsibilities It is the responsibility of the Construction Manager or E&I Superintendent as well as to his Project Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers or Supervisors, and QC personnel assigned in the area to ensure that all E&I works and related activities shall be in accordance with the requirements of this method Statement and to the Project Standards and Specification.

5. SAFETY
5.1
Planning
5.1.1 Ensure the worksite is free from flammable / toxic vapor or liquid by safe preparation. 5.1.2 Thermo Weld (Cad Weld) tools/ equipment to be authorized under permit to work system. 5.1.3 Keep the fire extinguishers in ready condition. 5.1.4 Permit to work Welding and Cutting. 5.1.5 Availability of work site Supervisor. 5.1.6 Company approved Thermo weld(Cad Weld) method of statement should be available at worksite. 5.1.7 Take a hot work permit and other associated permits from asset owner.
5.2 Thermo weld (Cad Weld)
5.2.1 Ensure the thermo weld equipments (Mould, torch) are free from defect. 5.2.2 Wear proper nose mask.

The SIS shall execute the work, which forms an integral part of project. It shall provide all items, operations, and methods including labors, materials, equipment, consumables, and other necessary item for the completion of the work.
7.1 General:
7.1.1 SIS shall adhere to the data and drawings approved by SAPMT. Any doubt or discrepancy shall be bringing to the attention of the approving authority.
7.1.2 SIS shall provide adequate supervision during execution of the work in order to ensure satisfactory performance of the work.

8. SEQUENCE OF WORK:
8.1 PREPARATION: 7
9.9. Take the tube of welding material included in the package and removes the lid over the mold crucible. Quickly pour the loose welding material powder into the mold. 9.10. Sprinkle the starting material over the welding material and onto the lip of the mold. 9.11. Close the cover and ignite. 9.12. Open the mold after the metal solidifies.

The SIS shall maintain effective liaison to the SAPMT and Operation for proper coordination and submission of report and other documents necessary for the execution of the work. Inspection for the work shall be done in accordance with the procedure provided in SATIPs of the project. 11. Site Cleanup: After completion of all, work final clean up shall immediately follow. The SIS shall conduct clean-up work by collecting all the debris, wastes, excess soil and other materials and dispose of at the designated location.
