From the Principals desk

When I believe I can, then I can acquire the ability to do it even if I didnt have it in the beginning. Hello and welcome back to the Aradhana Family. We have begun yet another year (2013 - 14) with bigger dreams and greater aspirations for our students. In Aradhana Academy, academics has always been of primary importance, but in todays razor edged competitive world, it is important that our students are given lessons in life skills to move on in life with confidence. To achieve this, our school has initiated activities that includes sports and art and crafts, clubs like The Literary and Dramatics Club, The Science Club, The I.T. Club, The Eco club, The Home Science club, to name a few. I am also happy to announce that we are a part of International School Award an accreditation scheme for curriculum based international work in school. The aim is to give our school an international ethos. We also understand that technology is making a huge difference in our lives, and to keep up with it, we now have a portal where parents can check the performance of their wards and all activities taking place in school. As a part of our effort to stay connected and keep all of you updated, every year we bring out our newsletter. I feel extremely delighted to present the first newsletter of this year. I thank the newsletter team for their effort and hard work. Parents, students and staff, we are all partners in our commitment to excellence. We will continue to work together in maintaining our academic and extra-curricular programs. Thank you and God bless. Sr. Moly Parayil Principal

Shramadana means Gift of Labour. Implicit in this statement are tenets of service, cooperation restraint and non-violence-the tenets Mahatma Gandhi sincerely believed in and propagated. Keeping up with ideals of Gandhiji, Aradhana Academy organized Shramadana on the august occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The students of class VIII and IX, along with the entire staff donated their time and effort in sprucing up the campus and the surrounding areas. The event began with the lilting prayer, Raghupati Raghav Rajaram rendered by the teachers. It was followed by a brief speech on Gandhji Jayanti by our principal Sister Moly. She also informed us about Guardian Angels Day which happened to fall on the same day. With the blessings from the guardian angel and Sister Molys good wishes the students formed small groups headed by a teacher and went about de-weeding the garden, watering the plants, cleaning up the litter in the campus and sweeping the adjacent road. In two hours the campus stood completely transformed. It was good to see so much enthusiasm and energy in every single person involved. In all the power of collective action came through in full measure.
