ABSTRACT
Islamic Architecture in Jordan is characterized, as for other
neighboring countries, by the utilization of courtyard as an architectural
component that is convenient to Jordanian culture and climate, as for
local society as well. Many examples can be seen in different cities and
villages in Jordan, which spread over until the beginnings of the 20th
century, then started to vanish gradually until the 1980s and1990s when
architects started to revive the use widely the courtyard in public and
private building.
