Sr Spec Network System Eng Direct Labor

Location: Bedminster, NJ Work Location: Seoul, South Korea

Senior Systems Engineer responsible for development, analysis, design and deployment of large and small-scale IT networks. Will utilize knowledge of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) v2.0 and Systems Engineering practices to develop products and advise the customer on the deployment of IT networks and complex communications solutions. Will develop requirement, system design plans, and engineering installation plans for networks across multiple platforms. Must have experience with data network requirements, testing, planning and implementation of new software, hardware and applications relative to new product delivery, systems architecture, process enhancements, infrastructure and security. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Provide technical solutions and project management support for data network design, provisioning, assurance, inventory, processes and practices. Participates in design and proposal development and project activities including tech/business requirements and design, tech writing and Methods/Proc. May assist in the coordination, evaluation and partnership with vendors, outside consultants and internal dotted line resources. Provides the tech troubleshooting and leadership required to recover from the most complex ntwk problems if required. Identification of root cause, resolution, work arounds, testing and implementation of vendor/IT fixes or design changes. May assist in providing leadership for projects, including collaborating with the client to develop business cases, defining business and/or tech requirements and preparing detailed plans and schedules. Review and interpret technical documentation and vendor specs for inclusion/adaptation into database templates. Performs work at customer location. Bachelors degree in Engineering or Hard Science/Technology field and 10+ years of experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience) in the design, engineering, and installation of large communication networks, or the relevant substitution of experience for education. Strong writing skills.

Required Clearance: Secret

Desired: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems. Knowledge UML, SySML, UMDP methodologies. SparxEA, IBM Rational Products, or IBM DOORS software. Knowledge of IT networks and Lifecycle management of communications projects. DoDAF v2.0 required.
