Tagviewer Utility

Executive summary
The TagViewer Utility is used to view the tags in your Intouch Database, the advantage of using such a utility is that you do not have to have Intouch installed on the machine, you merely have to have a copy of your tagname.x file which you drag and drop onto the Tagviewer window. The Tagviewer displays the list of tags in your database and also shows you details of the configuration of the tag.

1. TagViewer Utility
The Tagviewer Utility can be obtained in one of the following ways : Contact support@wonderware.co.za Call us on 0861 WONDER Download from our website www.wonderware.com/support\

2. Installation
When you download the file it will be called TagViewerSetup.zip

Place the file on your desktop, double click the file to open it. It will then ask you to unzip the file, and will run the setup.msi file contained in the zip file. Select the Next Button

The License Agreement is then displayed, make sure you read the license agreement before selecting the Next button

The following screen is the Select Installation Folder Specify the directory where you want the program installed Specify whether you want a specific user to gain access to the TagViewer or all users that log on to the PC Select Next once you are satisfied with the folder and Security

The Following screen displays the Confirmation of the installation Select Next

The Installation then begins and extracts the necessary file to the folder you specified earlier Select Next once the installation has completed

Once Installation has completed, a Information splash screen is displayed. If you have any queries with the utility, or you think it needs enhancement, you can contact the address given Select Next button

3. Execution

The installation is now complete and you can access the programme by going to Start\Programs\Wonderware\Tagviewer\Tagviewer As Shown below

Once opened you should see the following screen At this stage it should display two blank windowpanes

In order to view your database in the tagviewer utility, take a copy of your tagname.x file (which should be located in your application directory.) Drag and drop the tagname.x file onto the window pane on the left hand side of your tagviewer programme. Your Utility should now be populated with the tags in the database As shown below

4. Keypoints
Compatibility o The Tagviewer Utility has been tested on Intouch 9.5 and Intouch 10 o Prior versions has not been tested but may work, worst case scenario would be that the utility crashes

The Tagviewer Utility will not corrupt your database, it merely reads the data from you database.
