FAMILY NEtfS:
1. Marcie returned to Malaysia for her second semester of study on January 19th. and Ben returned to Chiangmai International School for his second semester as well. Keep them in your daily prayers as they continue their education here. 2. Our family has two specific prayer requests: First, many of you know that when we returned to the field we made plans to stay here four years during this term. But we also made plans to return to the U.S. for a short visit during the summer of 1992 since this term was to extend a year longer than our first term. We ask that you pray that our support will be sufficient to make such a trip this summer. The cost just for air fare will be nearly $6,000.00. Secondly, we will be in need of a vehicle to use for about six weeks while we are there. Pray that the Lord will provide for this need as well.
Again, thank you for your faithful, generous and consistent support for our family. Without your partnership in this
endeavor we could not be here!
Grateful

As Christians and especially as those serving full-time in a Christian vocation, we think often of trying to determine the times when God opens doors. The opening of doors by God for service in His Kingdom is not a strange thing as we notice the
Apostle Paul speaking of staying on in Ephesus "because a great door for effective work has opened to me..." (1 Cor. 16:9).
What may be more difficult to accept is the fact that God may close doors. Again, it is Paul who contended with this circumstance when, according to Acts 16:6, he and his companions were not allowed by the Holy Spirit to preach in Asia. Not forcing closed doors open is just as important as entering those
which are open.
Our family, therefore, wishes to announce to you, our friends, our family, our supporters that we believe that God is closing a door pertaining to our proposed move to Aranyaprathet
