Power Transformers Transformers are a key element to virtually every power system. Powell technicians can examine and modify primary and secondary connections and perform testing such as thermal scans. Rectifiers The Powell Power Electronics Division supplies silicon diode rectifiers and thyristor controlled rectifiers and is fully qualified to assist with field service issues. This is only one example of the expertise that Powell can bring to your field needs. SCADA Systems, Batteries, Chargers, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and Ancillary Equipment Packaging is an integral part of Powells business. As a result we have a great deal of experience packaging systems and equipment from a variety of sub-suppliers. Our field service personnel have the understanding and the contacts to facilitate maintenance and upgrades to any of these systems.

But also are fully qualified to work on switchgear manufactured by virtually any other equipment supplier. Medium-Voltage Replacement Circuit Breakers Powell offers the broadest line of direct replacement circuit breakers for aging and obsolete equipment available in North America. If the model on your system is not listed and the number of units is significant we can often design and test a replacement design specifically for you. AC Low-Voltage Switchgear Powell can service and manufacture low-voltage switchgear utilizing circuit breakers from GE, Eaton Cutler-Hammer, Siemens, and ABB. DC Switchgear Powell is completely familiar with the DC circuit breaker designs on the market today and the associated switchgear. We can handle upgrades to bus, insulation, wiring, and control schemes; or add on to existing lineups with additional circuit breakers.
