: drdavidsaul@gmail.com: ---------------------------------------------------------------FIBROMYALGIA: Female Chronic Pain, Causation, Cure You were badly hurt. Long ago or recently. The combination of injuries and injustices progressed via Psychological and Neuropathic (Psycho-Soma) pain augmentation. Various lifestyle restrictions followed depending on: instability, severity, chronicity. Being labelled Fibro-Myalgic (FM) defines you through your unrelenting symptoms. You suffered undeniable injustice(s): betrayal, physical/sexual abuse, abandonment, humiliation, shattered assumptions of goodness, honour, respect. All physical injuries have a Mind-Body component. Sometimes complete recovery is elusive, leaving residual & variable pain pathology. Your Chronic, Psycho-Soma Fibromyalgia pain symptomatology is: in-your-head ,your-brain & your-head. Pain research suggests that perceptions (and further presumptions) of the injury and/or, injustice trauma became a survival threat, which triggers the Stone-Age acquired Fight/Flight System response. Inadequate resilience opportunities and abilities, i.e. more vulnerability, deadlock you inside F/Fs unrelenting, enigmatic female pain-version of PTSD: Persistent (perceived) Tragedy Somatization Deadlock. Potential recovery requires Psychodynamic/Somatic Therapies to process and resolve concepts of: Retribution; Restitution; Reconciliation; Redemption; Respect. (the 5 Rs). It should but rarely occurs because the 5 Rs remain in perpetual conflict. Gender-based issues in mind-body processing of wrongfulness, skew the FM female demographic incidence to 90%. The necessary cognitive, emotional and physical components requiring resolution of the 5 Rs can often be too upsetting (conflicting) for women to fully pursue. Examples: conflicts with demanding and exacting vengeance/retribution for the trauma/tragedy injustice and, obtaining restitution/atonement via disability reimbursements. The Cure entails: Somatic Therapy procedures de-activating Somatization; anger management/resolution CBT; and 1) full AWARENESS and UNDERSTANDING of the meaning of the tragedy; 2) unconditional ACCEPTANCE of the meaning; 3) mind/body shift towards a consistent state of INDIFFERENCE. It happened (to me) (but now) its over (and long gone) and Im still standing. Perhaps nothing did indeed happen. So, what do I (and only I) do now to move on?
