John primarily is assosciated with his Black One Fender Stratocaster, but also has a signature line of Fender guitars coming in varied colors. The pickups feature a scooped midrange citing Stings voice as the inspiration for his unique tone in Rolling Stone Magazine. The Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster was the first guitar that John loved, SRV being his biggest influence.
