Interviews:
Narration: ‘Although
none of these answers
are completely correct,
they may be true. Books
and stories are literature,
and students read
because they are told to,
all facts. But what is
literature and why do we
study it?
Literature is a term used
to describe written or
spoken material. Broadly
speaking, "literature" is
used to describe
anything from creative
writing to more technical
or scientific works, but
the term is most
commonly used to refer
to works of the creative
imagination, including
works of poetry, drama,
fiction, and nonfiction.
Narrator: How will the
prosperity of our
generations ever learn to
be literate if there were
no classes instructing
the proper use of our
language? Language in
general is a mystery as
to how it was derived
from simple concepts
such as primitive grunts
made by the earliest of
humans. This infinite
puzzle of usage, 155.MPG
vocabulary, and
vocalization is what
separates man from the
beasts that we so often
distance ourselves from
in our world.
Music: orchestra
Narration: Literature is
an important tool that
enables us to record
history for future
generations,
communicate with each
other, and enhance the
learning process. Now
that we know what
literature is, we can now
discover why we study it.
Interviews: Why do we
study literature?

Whatever critical
standard we use to
discuss and analyze
literature, there is still
an artistic quality to the
works. Literature is
important to us because
it speaks to us, it is
universal, and it affects
us. Even when it is ugly,
literature is beautiful.
Narration: Literature is
everywhere it is all
around us. In the
media, daily life, and in
school. Understanding,
using, interpreting
literature will have
lasting impressions on
students.
