Barnett Shale

Dry Gas Core Area Newark E&P operations in the Barnett Shale Dry Gas Play are part of a joint-venture with Beacon E&P of Denver, CO, and are concentrated in eastern Tarrant and western Dallas Counties, TX, within the cities of Arlington, Fort Worth, Grand Prairie, and Mansfield. Located in the most prolific part of this mature play, our project areas offer low-risk opportunities for development of properties with very high-reserve potential. As early entrants into this area, Newark E&P and its partners were able to assemble several unique projects with large, contiguous blocks of acreage anchored by multiple drill sites. Oil & Gas "Combo" Play Newark E&P operations in the Barnett Shale "Combo" Play are located in Montague, Cooke, Wise, Denton, and Jack Counties, TX. Oil, gas, and a large component of natural gas liquids combine to create low-risk opportunities for development of a part of the Barnett Shale that has been largely de-risked by recent industry activity. Western Liquids-rich Gas Play Located in Jack, Palo Pinto, Parker, and Wise Counties, TX, this well-established area of the Barnett Shale has proven economics driven by high-BTU gas production and low-cost operations.
