Introduction
The Performance Management System envisages evaluation of Technical/Functional competencies of the executive annually. This document is to be used as a reference directory to identify competencies required for the effective discharge of various roles and functions within a plant/project. At the beginning of the assessment year during the Performance Planning phase, the executive and the reporting officer should refer to this document to identify functional/technical most relevant to the executives position .

Details illustrative Functional Competency of Dy.Chief Engineer(CSO) (M6 & ABOVE), Experience and working exposure of maintenance of mechanical machines and equipment (e.g. turbine, boiler and auxiliaries) Technical knowledge of all electrical machines and equipment (e.g. generator, motors, transformers, switch gears, relays etc.) Technical trouble shooting. Knowledge of safety requirements and environmental aspects Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spares inventory management. Knowledge of power generation process. Awareness of suppliers of material and services. Knowledge of statutory guidelines related to electrical equipment. Understanding of working and history of workshop equipment. Spares inventory management for workshop maintenance.

Knowledge of development of drawing from spare. Knowledge of fabrication job.
