Site Manager /Teacher Training: The Personal Success Plan – Helping students set goals and get organized for
academic success

How can we, as educators, help students take personal initiative in the process of learning? How do we shift the responsibility of
learning to students? How can we help students achieve their potential? Students learn to be more productive and organized as they
work through the Personal Success Plan (PSP). They develop short-term and long-term academic and personal goals to involve,
motivate and engage them in the learning process; engagement that leads to academic achievement. The PSP allows teachers to
guide students as they develop and set measurable and actionable learning goals that are differentiated by student interests and
expression styles. As students progress through the PSP, they develop plans and timeframes for reaching these goals.
