Overview
This document outlines the steps in registering custom programs in order to be able to run these
programs from the Oracle Standard Requests Submission form. Most of the EEE custom programs
have corresponding design documents detailing the setup of the executable and program in sysadmin.
Refer to the last page in this document for a list of the custom reports and their design documents. For
the custom reports that do not have a corresponding design document, this document includes a table
with the appropriate setup values.
Prior to creating custom programs and executables you must first:
Register the 'EEE Custom Application'
Register Oracle Id 'EEE'
Update the 'Standard' Data Group
For complete instructions refer to the documents AOL Custom Application Setup.doc.
Note:
If you are using a copy of the EEE configured database then custom
programs should already be defined.
Refer to the custom programs listing at the end of this document to find the design document for the
executable program you define.
Enter setup values from the appropriate design document for the custom program executable you
want to define
Define a concurrent program executable for each executable source file you want to use with
concurrent programs
Navigate to:
Concurrent>Program>Executable
Concurrent>Program> Define
Program parameters defined here should match the variables in your execution file.
Refer to the document AOL Value Sets Setup.doc for instructions on defining value sets and
assigning values if the parameters you are defining require custom value sets.
Enter setup values from the appropriate design document for the custom program parameters you
want to define.
Navigate to:
Select:
Concurrent>Program> Define
Parameters
Concurrent>Program> Define
Incompatibilities
Move the executable files to their proper place on the operating system in use.
The following table shows where these execution files should be placed in a Unix environment:
Tool
Sql*Plus & PL/SQL
.sql
Oracle Reports
.rdf
Sql Loader
.ctl
Note:
Ext.
Directory
$EEE_TOP/
$APPLSQL
$EEE_TOP/
$APPLREP
$EEE_TOP/$APPLBIN
The program name is case sensitive and must exactly match the Execution
file you defined previously.
