Hi, Only Few Universities in India provides B.Tech (civil) through correspondence; some of them are JNTU-SCDE, Hyderabad
(www.jntu.ac.in/academics/scde.htm), Acharya Nagarjuna University (www.nagarjunauniversity.ac.in/) and IGNOU,
(www.ignou.ac.in). For more information about these institutes, Check there official website. Eligibility for admission is:
Minimum 3 years Diploma in any discipline of Engineering or Equivalent. Minimum of three years relevant experience in the
organization/industry in the area in which candidate is seeking the admission. Another alternative is you can opt for doing
Associate Member, ICE (I) from Institute of Civil Engineers. It is a course of repute. The Institution of Civil Engineers (India)
conducts an examination that qualifies a candidate as an Associate Member of the ICE (I). The Institution of Civil Engineers
(India) conducts the Degree and Diploma level examination in Civil Engineering & Architectural Engineering twice a year for
those, who for various reasons, could not fulfill their ambition to become Degree or Diploma Engineers but had to take up
employment at lower level. They want to upgrade their educational qualification and improve their employment status.
Associate Member of the ICE(I) is considered on par with B.E / B.Tech degrees for competitive exams like the Civil Services,
Engineering Services, GATE, and for placement in government, the public and private sectors. There are 2 sections, namely
Section A and Section B, in this examination. Section A is common for all candidates aspiring to acquire an AMCIE (India).
Under Section B, a particular discipline of engineering has to be chosen from among the streams offered. Please
refer http://www.ice.net.in/index.html for further details. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
