GENERAL, Filipino, of legal age, married and a resident of Canelar, Zamboanga City under oath, hereby depose and state that: That I am employed as a Professor of Ecology mainly focusing on Forests and Wildlife at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University which is located at La Purisima Street, Zamboanga City; That herewith attached is a map of all mining tenements and protected areas in the Zamboanga Peninsula and a table of overlapping mining tenements and protected areas; That such map is prepared by the undersigned as a learning tool for all students of ecology and especially those interested in the forests and wildlife of the Zamboanga Peninsula; That such map is prepared by the undersigned as a diagram for further awareness of the current relationship between wildlife biodiversity and the mining industry. That such map prepared is based on facts that have been released by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau and the Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau and has no way been revised by the undersigned. That the map is merely a graphical representation of the facts released by the aforementioned agencies; That the attached table following the map, is an objective representation of the noted overlapping areas among the protected areas and the approved mining tenements. That the undersigned has personally verified and inspected such areas through field work and geodetic information obtained and with the assistance of engineers from the Lands Management Bureau(LMB). That I am executing this affidavit to attest to the truth of the foregoing and for all legal intents and purposes this may serve.
