the story
The concept for our business started life on a Saturday night in a friends home. They were having problems with a noisy neighbour. The emotion and stress was evident and it started a conversation that grew into a solution. That solution is now called iKoustic.
From our early days in 2010, we knew that the philosophy and values that motivated us as people were as key as the products and services we would supply. It would shape every strategy and transaction and infuse every product and process. Our selection of suppliers is based as much on Service and Ethics as it is on Price and Quality. This acoustic grade rock mineral wool slab absorbs airborne sound in the cavity partitions of timber and metal party walls, signicantly improving acoustic performance and reducing reverberation. A exible acoustic grade mineral wool, Acoustic Easy Fit Mineral Wool Slab is supplied in packs of easy to handle 1200mm x 600mm slabs, in a variety of thicknesses. It can be installed in the cavity spaces of walls, oors and ceilings. An efcient noise absorber which easily outperforms standard mineral wool insulation because it is more than twice the density! It can also be used between ooring joists and in ceilings as a sound absorbing inll to reduce airborne noise. It is supplied un-faced.

Ikoustic Acoustic Sealant
900ml tube (Covers 32 linear meters) Acoustic Sealant is a high strength, permanently exible white acoustic sealant and adhesive specically formulated for sealing and bonding plasterboard.
It is ideal for sealing the edges of plasterboard systems and lling and sealing any holes where services have been installed, thereby preventing the leakage of noise. It is paintable once cured and is manufactured to a professional trade quality. This non-ammable sealant is water based, solvent free, is easy to use and clean up and adheres well to just about all substrates used in the building and construction industry. It works equally well on acoustic insulation boards and can be successfully used on walls, ceiling and dry lining applications. Use it to ll large gaps in existing timber oorboards or spaces between oor decking before overlaying with acoustic materials. It is particularly recommended for sealing the perimeters and edges of oating oors before applying additional soundproong materials in order to further enhance acoustic performance
