I would like to remind, once again, all recognized co-curricular and extra-curricular organizations in the University to comply with the Directorates resolution pertaining to each organizations charter. Deadline was set this coming Saturday, November 16, 2013; 5:00 in the afternoon. For the soft copy requirement, you can email it to xucsg_ovp@yahoo.com. Unfortunately, only few organizations were able to comply with the said resolution for the past weeks. Non-compliance with the resolution would mean neglect of duty and insubordination of the organization towards the Central Student Government. Should you have any queries or concerns, you can visit us at the Central Student Government Office. Also, attached in this memorandum is a copy of the resolution. RESOLUTION 0018-1314
A Resolution Requiring All Recognized Student Organizations of Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan to Create and/or Submit a Copy of Their Organizations Charter to the XU-CSG Office of the Vice President WHEREAS, stipulated in Article III, Section 5 of the 2005 XU-CSG Constitution, the XU-CSG, in exercise of its powers and jurisdiction, shall foster transparency in all undertakings at all levels of governance and encourage participation among its constituents. WHEREAS, an organizations Charter promotes its officers accountability to their constituents. WHEREAS, some recognized student organizations do not have their Charter which serves as their rules of law. WHEREAS, in order for Xavier University-Central Student Government to exercise its duty stated in Article III, Section 5 of the constitution, there is a need for all XU recognized student organizations to submit a copy of their existing organizations Charter to the XU CSG-Office of the Vice President. WHEREAS, XU student organizations which do not have any existing Charter are asked to create one, in line with the provisions set by the Supreme Constitutional Court. Once created, a copy must be submitted to the XU CSG-Office of the Vice President. WHEREAS, the deadline for submission of their organizations Charter is on the 16 th of November 2013, 5 oclock pm. A hard copy and soft copy must be given to the XU CSG Office of the Vice President. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that all recognized student organizations of Xavier UniversityAteneo de Cagayan must create and/or submit a copy of their organizations Charter to XU CSG-Office of the Vice President on or before the 16th of November 2013, 5 oclock pm. Done this 19th day of June, 2013 at Loyola Conference Room of the Magis Student Complex, Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan, Cagayan de Oro City, by the 20th Directorate in session assembled.
