SUNSET Beach VBS averaged 64 in attendance, according to ^ JeVs^^ Floyd


who also wrote that she helped the Owen Stills in a two-we^s VBS^ Palolo Valley,
Honolulu with more than 50 in attendance. "B. serviceman and his wife, and a native girl,

who attends the Christian Day school, were recently baptised at Sunset Beach. Enrollment
for the fall term of Christian Day school is already more than 50, and construction is underway on a new building unit for the school. Miss Floyd also indicates that the new

teachers who are seeking to come to Hawaii to help are still in need of some financial
support. Mi go has most of her support promised; Miss Phyllis Smock had

only $18 a month pledged. Shemay be addressed at 1740 6th Street, Gering, Nebrask^
Miss Maggard at Richmond, Kentucky.Seventy three young people were in camp July 31
when Miss Floyd wrote. Her address is Box 48, Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii.

rived and I*m so grateful for them. I*m particularly grateful to the G-unkels for their thoughtfulneae. It would have been necessary to buy five new tires this

Fall. After 5^,000 miles and 4 recapped tires, new


tires were needed.

So I'm thankful that God has ans

wered my need through you.

I have a deep feeling of "kindredship" with'ycu people because

you have chosen me to represent you here in Oahu, and I have accepted
the responsibility of being your representative. I hope We prrve worthy of one another as we work together for Him both in Oahu and in
San Bernardino.

The work here is encouragingour school has 60 students this year. The school is greatly im-oroved from many standpointsthe oper ation of it is more smooth, the children are under better control and

the growth in the children in our first two years is clearly shwim. Theirr knowledge of the Bible is so gratifying. Miss Maggard, our new

6th, 7th and 8th grade teacher, told us she was amazed when she ques

tioned them,on the Bible. Our churoh has been averaging around 70 in
attendance. The most important event in September was the baptism of

service man. Mrs. Dorothy Vincent has 3 children in our school and has

benn a supporter of our school and church "but didn't come to Sunday

morning worship. The one morning she came, she made her confession and was baptized in the Kaimuki Christian Chiirch. Her baby was born last

week and to make my ha'opiness complete, they named her "Jessica", Her
middle name is "Aulni".

My heart overflows when such events hap"Deh, I want to thank you as a church for your action taken in my behalf, for j''our gifts of sup port, for your tires, find most of all for your prayers.

again in His precious Name. Yesterday saw the "official ooening" of our Christian Training Center here in Bilaspur. Although the High School has been operating for 'five' years it was only recently that we b'^agpur
