Victims' Rights and Colombia's Peace Process: A Conversation with Human Rights Defender Lilia Pena Wednesday, November 13th
Lilia Pea Silva is a woman human rights defender and the founder and president of the Regional Association of Victims of State Crimes in Magdalena Medio (Asociacin Regional de Vctimas de Crmenes de Estado del Magdalena Medio, ASORVIMM). Ms. Pea became a victim of state-sponsored violence when both her husband and brother were tortured, disappeared, and, consequently, assassinated. These acts led her to seek a life dedicated to the defense of human rights. Come hear her speak in D201, 12:30pm-2pm.

The ABA Section of Taxation is accepting applications for the 20142016 Christine A. Brunswick Public Service Fellowship. The Public Service Fellowship program was developed in 2008 to address the need for tax legal assistance and taxrelated public service. Application form available here. Georgetown Law Domestic Violence Clinic Graduate Teaching Fellowship


The Georgetown University Law Centers Domestic Violence Clinic hires one person to serve as a clinical teaching fellow and supervising attorney each year, for a two-year term. The fellowship experience is designed particularly to develop the fellows skills as a clinical instructor and to introduce fellows to a career in clinical law teaching.
