Spiritual coercion.... Dogma....

The greatest danger for a human eing is spiritual coercion !hich pre"ents the recognition and free decision of his !ill#s direction. $"er% person is an indi"idual eing that has to perfect itself and& therefore& e"er%one is responsi le for his o!n !a% of life on !hich depends the attainment of the degree of perfection. 'ence e"er%one has to ma(e a free decision and testif% to )e of his !ill. * +m demanding this testimon% and do not agree that one person should tell his fello! human eings ho! the% must thin(& !ill or act. The freedom of !ill must not e "iolated& ut it is "iolated !hen the o ,ecti"e of a person#s !ill is determined % la! and he is re-uired either % promises or threats to mo"e onl% in a particular direction.... * !ill ne"er accept such coercion although * !ill not openl% oppose it so as not to use coercion )%self. The human eing is a thin(ing indi"idual !ho recei"ed the a ilit% of free !ill and thought from )e purel% for the purpose of ma(ing a decision during the last stage of his spiritual de"elopment on earth& in accordance !ith !hich he !ill then e re!arded in eternit%. *t is indeed good and in accordance !ith )% !ill !hen a person informs his fello! human eings of the conse-uences of using their !ill in a righteous or !rong !a%. *t is also )% !ill !hen all manner of clarification is gi"en concerning his relationship !ith his .reator.

'o!e"er& a good instruction concerning the di"ine doctrine of lo"e and the importance of practicing unselfish lo"e for one#s fello! human eing is -uite sufficient. But it should all be done without coercion.... The human eing should e educated ut ne"er forced into accepting a doctrine ecause he should use his o!n ,udgment and inclination in directing his !ill. * ga"e the human eing free !ill ut if %ou ta(e it a!a% from him %ou !ill e using %our o!n !ill !rongl%& although %ou !ill elie"e that %ou !or( for )e on )% ehalf. I never gave My disciples the task to spread My teaching by way of religious coercion ecause an enforced faith !ould not enefit the soul#s higher de"elopment. * onl% e"er re-uire people to elie"e in )e as a supremel% perfect Being& * onl% e"er re-uire their elief in )% omnipotence& !isdom and lo"e and its strength.... For if %ou elie"e in this %ou !ill e/perience the strength of lo"e %oursel"es and !ill automaticall% recognise e"er%thing else %ou need to elie"e& ecause then %ou !ill e truthfull% taught % )% spirit !ithin %oursel"es. 'o!e"er& enforced faith !ill not lead %ou to perfection. $nforced faith !ill rarel% come ali"e& and * cannot loo( upon enforced faith as a decision of free !ill ecause %our !ill has not %et ecome acti"e& instead %ou !ill ha"e ac(no!ledged a school of thought as the result of %our education !ithout ha"ing properl% e"aluated it as to its !orth or !orthlessness. I want you to believe that you can only attain beatitude through love....

ut %ou ha"e to ac-uire this elief %oursel"es0 %ou can certainl% accept the teaching of it ut then %ou !ill first ha"e to practise lo"e in order to gain the certaint% that lo"e is spiritual strength& and onl% this inner certaint% is assured faith !hich is life1gi"ing ecause it !as "oluntaril% gained. +ll coercion is a sign of imperfection ecause it "iolates the freedom !hich originall% !as the spiritual eing#s characteristic and !hich it has to regain in order to ecome lessed. 'o! can coerci"e measures !hich depri"e people of spiritual freedom e considered to e in accordance !ith )% !ill.... if a person is "irtuall% dut%1 ound to elie"e something !hich& as far as * +m concerned& needs a solutel% free deli eration and acceptance2 +s supreme 3a!gi"er * ga"e people no other commandment than that of lo"e& !hich also comprises the Ten .ommandments of )oses& ut !hich onl% !ill e fulfilled if lo"e is "oluntaril% practised& other!ise it !ould ear !itness against )%self or it !ould -uestion the human eing#s free !ill. 'o!e"er& people presume that the% can esta lish la!s !ithout ha"ing the authorit% to do so. Thus the% infringe upon the person#s free !ill.... $"er% la! is coercion& and e"er% (ind of coercion is contrar% to )% !ill. +s soon as a person no longer has freedom of thought& as soon as he is forced to elie"e in a doctrine& his earthl% test of "olition comes to an end& for he has to ma(e his o!n decision and not an enforced one. +nd every dogmatic doctrine is coercion& irrespecti"e of !hether it is true or not. Every dogma is a violation of free will.... !hich !ill not e free at the time of a spiritual decision& since the decision has alread% een dictated to him and can onl% e %passed %
