Register for Jemans Preparatory Course Follow the reading plan stated below Register as a PMI Member before the end of the week 2 Submit your PMP application form before the end of week 2 (We will assist you in filling the form) Week 3 choose a date for the exam between the end of week 6 beginning of week 7 and make payment ($550 = N90,000) You must be disciplined (no shortcut please!!!), dont skip anyday (2 days float available on week 1); remember to negotiate with all relevant stakeholders (Wife, children, pastor, girl/boyfriends, friends etc): you cant afford to miss a day of reading. Don't read outside the scope. The hours stated is the minimum per day: you can do more hours, if youre a slow readers. To compress the duration to four weeks (do averagely of 6 hours, daily) Study group is essential for exam success, please participate. The average scores should be 75%: A Jeman representative will contact you after every mock exam. Read voraciously in a serene environment a. Read PMBok first (Although its boring but PMBOK gives you a better understanding and perspective of the cohesiveness of all the PM processes) b. Then read Rita (a great and interesting resource for the exam, please dont follow her process chart/flow) c. Then do the practices test in Rita after every Knowledge Area. Always develop your personal notes as you read; very useful for last minute revision. Commit to memory the ITTO, formulas, PMBoK glossary, PMI code of conduct (dont memorize, understanding is key, its too much to remember but by the end after going through it so many times and making notes, you will have a good crasp); Brainbok is an invaluable tool; Make sure you practice all the problem solving topics Critical Path, Earned value, EMV analysis, Decision Tree etc frequently till your final exam. Practice all the problems from Rita Mulchay. Visit the youtube link from SirGanttalot for EV Analysis and Network Analysis After taking every mock exam, review the wrong answers and understand the knowledge gaps and try to understand why you were not able to figure out the right choices; refer back to the corresponding topics PMBOK and Rita Rajesh Nair and Chowdary notes are an ideal resource for last minute revision, I would suggest go ahead and take a print out of this notes. Go through these notes daily. It gives a birds eye view for each Knowledge area. As you work listen to PMprepcast
