UNILA ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING OVERVIEW

HISTORY

Department of Electrical Engineering is part of the Basic Framework for Higher Education Development KPPTJP IV 2003-2010 (HELTS 2003-2010) Director General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education (2003) which is adapted by University of Lampung in the form of long-term strategic plan. Electrical Engineering Program was established by decree of the Director General of Higher Education April 27, 1998 Number 129/DIKTI/KEP/1998, which is part of the Higher Education Development Program Engineering (Engineering Education Development Programme - EEDP). Electrical Engineering Program founding objective is to meet the engineer needs of industrial engineering in the world particularly in the province of Lampung. Electrical Engineering Program organize educational programs guided by the Department of Electrical Engineering University of Lampung Statutes established by the Minister of Education and Culture, through Decree No. 1992 0432/O/1992. Deemed necessary to establish the Department of Electrical Engineering to establish management functions that cant be done by Electrical Engineering Program, Rector of the University of Lampung Decree number 1522/J26/PP/2000 Studies Program at the Department of Environmental Equivalents Lampung University state Electrical Engineering Program equated to Department of Electrical Engineering, so that the duties and authority of the Chairman of the Study Program equated with the Head of Department. Electrical Engineering Program in 2004 has been accredited B by Chairman of Higher Education BAN decree number 045/BAN-PT/Ak-VIII/S1/IX/2004 and certificate of accreditation No. 06892/Ak-VIII-S1045/ULBTFE/X/2004. To meet the formal legality of Electrical Engineering, then on June 10th, 2005, with an introduction letter from the Rector of the University of Lampung, Department of Electrical Engineering has submitted a proposal to the Director General of Higher Education for majors formation.
CURRICULUM STUDIES PROGRAM

Since the start of the academic year 1998/1999, Electrical Engineering Program in the Department of Electrical Engineering has made a series of improvements and adjustments to the curriculum. This change was made with the consultation of the Academic Consultancy Services (ACS) under project EEDP (Engineering Education Development Project) as well as of the Expert Team Toyohashi University of Technology in cooperation framework U to U to set up a curriculum that is both open and can accommodate changes in future. To keep abreast of the times, the curriculum was revised in 2003 and the last time in 2008. In 2008 the Department of Electrical Engineering has three areas of concentration:
Electrical Signals System Electrical Energies System 2

Computers and Informatics System

Electrical Engineering Program also improve readiness curriculum graduates to master the knowledge, communication, computer, and English. ACADEMIC MANAGEMENT Teaching and Learning process in Electrical Engineering Program require a good resources management. Elements of managed resources include: a healthy Organization Department / Electrical Engineering Program; classrooms facilities, laboratories, and libraries that provide academic atmosphere conducive to the development of knowledge, character and skills of the students, relevant curriculum; and internal management attention ongoing quality assurance, and adequate funding. Resource management in the Department of Electrical Engineering University of Lampung is done with an integrated approach to quality management (Total Quality Management - TQM) and Quality Assurance (Quality Assurance - QA). For this purpose, the Department of Electrical Engineering put the plan development, implementation and systematically programmed and self-evaluation as a key tool for continuous improvement (continuous improvement). To maintain and improve the quality of management, Department of Electrical Engineering utilize information system using the reliability of information and communication technology as a tool. Information system which has been implemented is the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) Online and Information Systems Department (SIMJURA). With the information systems, quality management department performance can be achieved more efficiently and effectively.
