Agnosticism
Agnosticism is the belief that the existence or non-existence of any deity is unknown and possibly unknowable.
Agnosticism is about knowledge, and knowledge is a related but separate issue from belief, the domain of theism and atheism.
This is a term coined by Thomas Huxley in the middle of the 19th century. It is the "doctrine that humans cannot know of the existence of anything beyond the phenomena of their experience."
