D55SP
The D55SP is a diesel powered, self-
propelled crawler mounted blast-hole
drill for mining. It is equipped for
making 6.75" to 10" (172 to 254 mm)
diameter holes with the rotary drilling
method. The maximum pulldown is
45,000 lb/200 kN (bit load 52,000
lb/232 kN). Built on a stable platform,
this drill can single pass up 55 (17 m),
including angle drilling in standard
configuration. Productivity increases
significantly, in particular in soft and
medium hard rock. Single pass drilling
has also proven much easier on
equipment, further improving
availability and economy. In low or
optional high pressure configuration,
the D55SP is the most productive rig
for bench heights where single pass
drilling can be utilized.
