Dear Amy, fantasy. It must be the most beautiful place in California. The International Centre for American English is located near the beach. Our Advanced English lessons are held every day from 9.00 am till 3.00 pm, but we can go to the beach during our lunch break. Holland isnt exactly sunny, as you know, so I gladly spend every free minute on the beach here. I usually have lots of company, too. Strangers smile at me like they know me well, and the minute I put my blanket on the sand, someone sits down next to me. At the weekends, I often go to the harbour and go sailing on a friends boat. I have arranged to start taking surfing lessons next week, and I can already imagine riding the waves on my Californian surfboard. Many of these boards are decorated with beautiful pictures, painted by surfboard artists. Thats an interesting profession, isnt it? Maybe you should think about it.
