The Singing Group will gather in the Tuncurry church

On the rst Sunday of each month we undertake a
collecon in order to support Homebase. The next
collecon will next take place on Sunday 1st

during the week that has just passed, and high on its
agenda were discussion about how to begin
implemenngtheParishPastoralPlanapprovedatthe
recent Pastoral Assembly. A clear plan for the
implementaon of two of the prioriesestablishing
a Social Jusce group, and the Family Ministry
Commieehasnowbeendeveloped,andasyoucan
seeelsewhereinBridgeside Bullenwerenotwaing
longtobegin.

Aninialpublicmeengto(re)establishaParishSocial
JusceGroupwillbeheldonWednesday4December
at 5.30pm to begin the process of making that
proposalareality.Allaremostwelcometoaendthis
meeng,whichwillbeheldintheParishHall.

Some inial work in connecon with the Family


Ministry Commiee will be undertaken over the next
few months, with the hope that an inial public
meeng will be held early in the new year once the
holidayperiodisover.

connecon with the development of the Parish
Pastoral Council, please do not hesitate to drop me a

The small membership of the Pastoral Council was


discussed in some detail, and the Council resolved to

ParishPastoralCouncilelectedanewChairofCouncil

ofliteraturebeingplacedinourchurchbuildingsthat
can only be described as less than edifying. The
materialinquesonwasremovedanddestroyed.

I would remind all members of the Parish that no


printed material should be placed in the church
buildingwithouttheapprovalofmyself.

assistance to the people of The Philippines and
Vietnam who have been so aected by Typhoon
Haiyan.

The church car park at Forster has now had marked
spaces added to assist in ensuring the safe usage of
thecarpark.Thismeansthatostreetparkingisnow
only permied in the spaces that have been marked
ascarspaces.

Therearealsotwokiss&dropspacestoallowforthe
seng down of passengers. These spaces, which are
marked by diagonal lines, must not be used for
parking during those mes when Mass and other
liturgiesarebeingcelebratedinthechurch.

As we saw last week, parking in these spaces also


preventsanambulancefromapproachingthedoorsof
thechurchbuilding.

While there are no designated disabled parking


spaces,itwouldbemyhopethatthecareandconcern
ofparishionersforthelessmobilebrothersandsisters
might make this an unnecessary step. This will
connuetobemonitored,andfurtherchangeswillbe
madeifnecessary.

I apologise for any inconvenience that this move


brings, but we are le with lile choice if we are to
meet our legal and moral obligaons to provide safe
physicalfaciliesforallthosewhovisitthem.

So that we might receive Communion in a t and

When we process forward to receive Communion,


we have been asked by the Australian Bishops to
adopt a common and unied gesture of reverence
before doing so. In Australia that gesture is a bow
of the head and shoulders (GIRM, 160). Any other
formofreverence,includingagenuecon,should

Communion by selfinncon (selfdipping) is
