Amadeus knows that service doesnt begin or end with a sale. Every customer believes your staff and agents have the answers to any question about their journey. The Amadeus Reservation Solution gives those answers. Itineraries can be built and priced before making a reservation; groups of passengers can utilise different railcards, passes or discounts and be allocated seating based on special needs such as wheelchair access, or different class of seats. Customised car layouts and real-time seat availability synchronised with scheduling data help automatically allocate seating according to an algorithm that emphasises groupings. A complete history of all PNRs is available, with changes clearly visible between each historical version.

By creating and updating complete passenger name records (PNRs) with key information (name, contact details, special service requests, discount entitlement, preferred journeys and seating and full booking history), you can manage bookings, target marketing campaigns and operate loyalty schemes. Agents can increase revenue by strategically up- and cross-selling additional services such as motorail, cargo handling (including bicycles and surfboards) and creating a complete package of connections with bus, ferry and air services in one, seamless and easily changed itinerary. PNRs, groups, cancellations, inventories and waitlists can be queued for special handling, individualising your service.

Complete financial transaction records (FTRs) are generated by the Amadeus Reservation Solution and can be downloaded to your financial system at the end of any period you specify: the end of a day or every shift. Non-rail sales such as passes, railcards and travel packages are reported separately, allowing you to monitor the success of promotions and set up-selling targets. An internal messaging system enables you to broadcast key messages to agents about events, incidents and delays. The same system tracks delays and changes to schedulesefficiency is the key to customer service.
