WORTH OF GRADUATION

I have just finished my resume for to get the GOOD job in ms word 2007. I
mentioned that I’m BA graduate . I have a vast knowledge of technical field
regarding networking but I have very limited knowledge of BA degree program.
somehow I completed my graduation ,only I know how effort I made to achieve this
degree as I didn’t have any interest in BA programme or any other degree
programme except BSC in networking But at the same time there was no institute
and college was available ,who avails the degree in delhi because I live here. I surf
the internet in some job sites for network engineer job. I got 1 job related to me , I
went for the interview in IT co. as I have networking skills. The interviewer asked me
to tell about myself .I explained my academic and professional qualifications . the
interviewer has impressed and hired me as a network engineer. The reason behind
hiring me was that, I was graduate not because I have a good knowledge of
networking. May be he hired me to think that I have a diploma in networking from
NIIT, he really thought like this ,I don’t think so. I think I was graduate so that’s
why I’m eligible for this job. But It doesn’t matter I just wanted to get job. I had a
dream to get a job and I got finally.

When interviewer asked me WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU ?, I said to him simply
because I am networking diploma holder and you have need a network engineer
and I am fully qualified for this job. He said NO, you are incorrect ,we are hiring you
because you have diploma but you are GRADUATE . when he said the word
GRADUATE, he stretched the word as long as he could . His graduate pronunciation
was GRREYZOOAETTTE. It seems that co. don’t have need of network engineer but
they have need to hire a Degree holder.

I thought so deeply! as deep as I could, that “ Is really I’m on the right place ?”. but
I was sure that in job site I had applieda vacancy for network engineer and I’m here
for network engineer job not for any BA job. While interviewing Many times I
thought “should I asked him that really there is a vacancy for network engineer ?”,
but I asked nothing . I was so confused and the scenario throws me into the muddle.
I was entangled into the situation. I was unable to came across to the point.
Meanwhile I was in the dilemma completely between BA job and Network engineer
job. At that time no was there to help me . I was silence but inside I was screaming
loudly but no one could heard me. iscolded myself I thought I was wrong but
actually I was not. If someone told me the truth might be I could came out with that
problem and that conclusion too. But as I said no one was there.

Would it be possible that any BA holder personnel can handle the job of network
engineer? Ofcourse your answer is NO. It seems like we are comparing the apple
and orange in same category. Or it looks that we gave a coconut to the geek. Or it
seems that comparing between the sky and the earth. Or both category are poles
apart or the other & the else. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHATS THE HELL GOING ON
PLEASE…………….?
Finally I started my daily routine job. Once a day my truculent boss has asked me to
solve the co.’s network connectivity problem. He told me that the co’s network has
been down completely. Do something now as soon as possible . so the network will
run smoothly as it was. He warned me if I failed to do so, he will fired me in a
moment. I was so worried about that, finally i called a spade a spade. I said sir “I
CAN’T DO IT”

As soon as he heard my words he shouted on me. WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE
TALKING . you even didn’t think what you spelled out. You bastard!!!!!!!!!!!. You are
my colleague, you are an employee, you are an personnel AND all these categories
falls into as servant. You don’t have right to say NO specially to me. you understood
filthy rascal!!!!!!..........................

It appeared, he was completely off his wits but I never loose my temper, I was made
myself completely controlled, I mean I was calm and cool as nothing happened. I
mean, I pacified him.

I said SIR when your Human Resource Department hired me they raised many
questions related to my graduation, when I gave them my resume they have only
checked in my resume that I am a DEGREE HOLDER or not. Even they didn’t asked
anything about my networking skills. So your HR department hired me. it was just
fine . so why you all guys forcing me to do a work of network engineer. if you are
doing so , then why you examined my BA skills and not my networking skills.

Graduation is a paramount as your point of view. So according to your requirement

as when you HIRED me you can’t FIRED me, You know why sir ? because I have a
vast knowledge of BACHELOR OF ARTS programme.

The reason is you can’t fired me is……..

➢ I know who killed Chandra shekhar azad.
➢ I know what is the economy rate of India.
➢ I know who was the akbar.
➢ I know who was the king henry.
➢ I know who was the queen Elizabeth.
➢ I know who build the taj mahal
➢ I know who was the first president of USA.
➢ I know what does the author’s mean in chapter eight of English core book in
1st year.
➢ I know who discover the India.
➢ I know where is pyramid.
➢ I know what is red-tapism.
➢ I know what does India do with raw petroleum.
➢ I know how many countries are in the world.
➢ I know who was the incarnation of lord Shiva.
 ➢ I know which country is rich in resources.
➢ I know why Author said that LIFE IS A GAME in 5th chapter of hindi in 3rd year
book.
➢ I know why king henry –VIII was so powerful and why he was rotund.
➢ I know the name of that king who was not the bigamist but had 100 queens.
➢ I know the name of that Indian president who resigned the same day when
the same day he took oath for presidentship.

SHUTTTT UPPPPPP!!!!! The Boss has again shouted on me as I was really his servant
and this time he was more energetic and the shouts rent the sky.

He screamed at me “WHAT THE HELL I WILL DO WITH YOUR F*****G “B.A“ SKILLS.
(He never tried in his entire life to refrain exaggeration). MY CO’S NETWORK HAS
BEEN DOWN COMPLETELY. YOUR ANY B.A SKILLS WILL NOT WORK HERE. ONLY THAT
PERSON CAN SORT OUT THIS PROBLEM WHO HAVE NETWORKING SKILLS. What I will
implement here with your B.A skills?. I really feel regret to hire you ,now I realized.
Call the HR department’s head right here right now . so that we will change our
hiring policies as soon as we could. Boss told to the head of HR to change the
eligibility in network engineer vacancy. And write there on job sites that we don’t
have need who is graduate but we will hire only those who have only good
knowledge of Networking.

Just because of me the boss has changed all the eligibility criteria and recruitment
policies of their companies.

FINALLY!! , I told to my boss that I have knowledge of networking and so I sorted

out that problem. The co’s network came out to the normal condition and started
running smoothly & normalcy.

MY MOTTO HAS BEEN COMPLETED that the companies should hire only those
employees who are eligible for that particular job which they will do as their profile.
For instance if the co. needs network engineer so the candidate should
accomplished & abounds in with all skills of networking, whether he/she have
whatever other skills too.

ACCORDING TO ME OTHER SKILLS ARE USEFUL, THEY WILL NOT BE WASTED, THESE
SKILLS WILL UTILIZED SOMEWHERE, AND OFCOURSE THESE SKILLS HAVE WORTH
BUT WHERE THERE IS A NEED OF THEM.
