This month we moved into our new
house. In addition to moving, I also have
been building some furnishings that were
unfinished. Now we have a place for
everything and can organize our house.
This really helps us feel at home here.
Matthew’s birthday party
Also, Matthew’s birthday was last month.
He was glad to have some of his friends,
the Bruces, visit from Solwezi. We played
many games like bobbing for apples and
musical chairs.
With the campaigners gone, there are
four families remaining: Don & Rita Boyd,
Matthew playing with Emily Brian & Sondra Davis, Phil & Paula
Sullivan, and us. Phil & Paula are here for
six months to help the team and work
with different projects like well drilling
and education. More than that, Paula has
been a great help for Karen with the
children.
We are glad to be a part of this team and
Lydia playing with Emily can see how God is blessing the Kaonde
through our combined efforts.

Matthew & Lydia in the new
pantry
strength back.
This is a time of wind and dust here in
Northwest Zambia and it affects the
people with colds and flu. This year was a
cold one and as you can imagine the
homes they live in are cold. The only
warmth they have are from small
charcoal braziers and of course during the
day the sun. I visited several members of
the Lunsala congregation today and found
several to be sick with cold and flu
symptoms. The good news is some have
recovered and plan to attend worship
service tomorrow. Both Lunsala and
Konkwa seem to be doing well from a
spiritual point of view. We are planning a
weekend fellowship the last weekend of
this month. Lunsala will visit the Konkwa
congregation from Saturday morning with
fellowship, singing and worship until after
the Sunday AM service. This will
encourage both groups. Our prayer is
that Konkwa will be encouraged to be
more evangelistic with outreach and
Lunsala will see a more mature church
and strive to become the same. Please
pray for this meeting. We had a good
team meeting today with a focus on next
year’s campaigns. Rita and I thank you for
all of your prayers and support. It is
comforting just knowing you are there for
us.
