Amy Thea Geduld

Nothing says you are a sweet lady more than Amy Geduld

When asked how she would like to be remembered 10, 20, 30 years from now, Amy had this to say, As a loving mother, wife, sister & daughter, this is what is most important to me. Philippians 4:8 is one her favorite Scriptural texts: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things .

When asked why doesnt McDonalds sell hotdogs, she couldnt give a reply.

Bible Study
The Resurrection of Christ Very early on Sunday: the resurrection followed by the earthquake, the descending of the angels, the opening of the tomb (Mt 28: 2-4) 5 a.m.- Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome probably with others. Mary Magdalene goes ahead of others and returns at once to Peter & John (Jn 20: 1) 5: 30 a.m.- Her companions reach the tomb when the sun had risen (Mk 16: 2). A vision of an angel. Message to the disciples (Mt 28: 5; Mk 16: 5) 6 a.m.- another party among whom is Joanne, still in the early morning (Lk 24: 1; comp Mk 16: 1). A vision of two men. Words of comfort & instruction (Lk 24: 4) 6: 30 a.m.- the visit of Peter & John (Jn 20: 3-10). A vision of two angels to Mary Magdalene (Jn 20: 11-13). About the same time the company of women take their tidings to the apostles (Lk 24: 10) 7 a.m.- the Lord reveals himself to Mary Magdalene (Jn 20: 14-18; Mk 16: 9). Not long after he reveals himself, as it appears, to the company of women who are returning to the tomb. Charge to the brethren to go to Galilee (Mt 28: 9) 4-6 p.m.- the appearance to the two disciples on their way to Emmaus (Lk 24: 13; Mk 16: 12) After 4 p.m.- an appearance to Peter (Lk 24: 34; comp 1 Cor 15: 5) 8 p.m.- the appearing to the eleven & others (Lk 24: 36; Mk 16: 14; Jn 20: 19)

Sermon
From the Pit to the Palace Genesis 45: 5-8 The life of Joseph affords us an apt illustration of how God can take one from the pit to the palace. It encourages us both to hope and wait patiently for him, for we should never assume the pit for our end result, but it is the waiting room along our path to our ultimate destination. I. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON: for God sent me before you to preserve life (Vs 5); so it was not you who sent me here, but God (Vs 8) THE WAITING ROOM: Its sole mandate is to prepare us for what is to come. Although it might seem as a delay we should not mistake it for a deny. Although it might seem as a disappointment, it is actually his appointment. For sometimes even interruptions are actually his interventions. Stay in the waiting room. FORGIVENESS IS THE VIRTUE OF THE STRONG: Joseph forgave his brothers. He did not allow the past to hold him prisoner. He embraced it for what it is, accepted it, & saw the guiding hand of God in his life

II.

III.

With God, nothing just happens. He has outlined our lives in all its details and knows our destinies. He will allow us through waiting rooms along the way, to prepare us for our ultimate bequest. Stay in your waiting

Have a Blessed Week
