Just a thought...
A Note from the Editor
She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them. That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lords glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. Dont be afraid! he said. I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savioryes, the Messiah, the Lordhas been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David (Luke 2:7-11, NLT)!

SEASONS SPOILER ALERT

I just finished doing the layout for next years Seasons of Refreshing material. WOW is it good! This material is all about our inner armor. We all know we're suppose to put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:1018), but what about the inside? I'm so excited about this material getting out there. I think people will learn a lot about the spiritual battle that we fight constantly. Can I tell you a secret about how the material ends? ...JESUS WINS! Servants to the Family of CMA

By JOHN Ogden Sr.

or even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many (Mark 10:45, NKJV).
The Christian Motorcyclists Association is a servant based ministry. We give of ourselves, time, and substance in service to Christ. We believe that through modeling a servants heart and relationship building we are the example that Jesus Christ gave us. I would like to highlight our servants, the Goodie Reps, and say thank you for their hearts in ministering within CMA. We have twelve cou ples who serve as Goodie Reps and travel throughout the United States. Their primary ministry is to our servants, the family of CMA. Each Goodie Rep is in charge of hauling Goodie and ToolBox items, loading and unloading all items, setting up a store, working the checkout, reconciling reports, send ing in reports for each event, completing an annual inven tory audit, and reordering for upcoming events. Not only do they sacrifice riding their motorcycles, but also they receive no pay for their time or expenses while providing

Goodies at events. They use their personal vehicles to pull the supplied trailer with the merchandise. Many Goodie Reps still work fulltime and use their vacation or person al time to travel to events. At any CMA event, our Goodie Reps have personal com munications with more people than anyone else. They interface more than our state leaders or even the Evangelist. This is a calling God has placed on their lives and I appreciate their heart and what they do to serve the family of CMA. We cannot thank each one enough for their efforts to help in changing the world, one heart at a time. Please join me in saying thank you to our servants, the Goodie Reps.

Sturgis Thank You

By ROGER Wilson

his year in Sturgis was a year of thank yous and a year that told us we are making a difference. We can vouch for this because of the favor that God gave us as He went before us to arrange divine appoint ments. The story begins with the lady at the city building who gave us favor because of the work we do for the city. She told us "I cant tell you how much we appreciate the servant min istry you do here. Then there was the police officer who told us because of our servant ministry not only did the face of Sturgis change, but his person al life and what he believed about Christians has totally changed too. There was a young officers wife who asked me if she could tell what some CMAers did in the park for her son. He had fallen and cut his head and the servants of CMA took care of him until she could get there and reassured her that he was doing ok. She told me her son was smiling when she got there and he told her the CMAers had given him a rag tract even though he said he was a Christian and was only eight years old. She said that night, at bed time, he put the rag on his bed stand and told his mom again he was so happy they gave him a rag and he read the

tract to her. Praise God for the heart of the CMA servants! Thank you to the hospital servants who are always there to do whatever they can. One man on TV told of how the CMA servants at the hospital called his children, minis tered to his needs, and helped him with his bike. He could hardly talk because of his emotions. Jesus was there through the lives of our ser vants. One man needed a ride back to his tent and some medicine. He was from Holland and told us he was so grateful that we took him in, minis tered to his needs, and never asked for anything. Thank you CMA drivers for the countless hours of driving and minis tering to the lost. One ministry came to our booth and said THANK YOU CMA for doing it right and showing us how to do servants ministry. WOW! Thank you, God, for equipping us for the field because all things are possi ble through you. Then there was the 7ft. motorcycle man who drew me in and said thank you for your service, you are making a difference. The vendor who was next to our booth, and who we have minis tered to over the years, told us that she always asked for her booth to be

by us because she felt safe and cared for. This year we were blessed with all the Run for the Son ministry partners attending and serving alongside us. These men worked in the field next to us and they said thank you CMA for allowing us to be a part of this servant evangelistic ministry. CMA is blessed to not only have John Ogden, Sr. as our CEO, but to also have men of God like Erick and Chris from The JESUS Film Project, David from Open Doors, and Glen from Missionary Ventures, who all see and believe CMAs vision, changing the world, one heart at a time. Thank YOU to the many volunteers that came to Sturgis and gave of their time! CMA

Why We Do Things the Way We Do

By KERRY Gibson

Kerry and Debbie Gibson serve CMA as VP of Ministry Development.

07www.cmausa.orgDecember 2013

ve been in CMA for over eighteen years. Like many others I joined for the opportunity to fellowship and ride motorcycles with other Christians. When I joined up I had no real interest in the ministry work of CMA. But, the more involved I became in CMA, the more I caught the vision of what CMA is all about. Its not really about the fel lowship, although thats an important part of who we are. Its about the mes sage; its all about Jesus! After witnessing firsthand the impact of the ministry of CMA on what, at the time, I perceived as real bikers during a service at the 1995 Changing of the Colors Rally, I remember leaning over to Debbie with tears in my eyes and whispering in her ear, I want to be a part of this. She looked at me and said me too. At that point we set out to get involved and do what CMA does. I knew nothing at the time about ministering to bikers. I knew all about motorcycles and bikers, but I had no idea how to talk to a biker about Jesus. I had no idea of how but I was deter mined to do what CMA does. Shortly after we joined, CMA came out with the ministry team training and even though we werent required to take it, we did. We wanted to learn how to reach bikers (and others) for Christ. We wanted to be a part, to experience leading someone to Christ and it was obvious that the people of CMA knew how to do that. We listened to the tapes and I started looking for opportunities to talk with our Regional Evangelist. I believe that if you want to do some thing, study the habits and life of some one who already does it well. Even though he really didnt know me, I took every opportunity to get close, ask questions, and listen to Curtis. In fact, he probably thought I was stalking him some of the time. I remember looking to see where he and

Carole were camping at several nation al rallies and trying to camp close enough to them that I could observe and listen. I saw the fruit of CMA and I wanted to be a part. I wanted to learn why CMA was successful and how they did it. At that time in my life I pretty much believed that a motorcycle could be any color you wanted, as long as that color was black! But if CMA had told me to paint my motorcycle lime green I would have been in WalMart buying lime green paint. I didnt need to ask why because I had seen the proof of doing things the CMA way. Over the next five years our little chapter of 5 consistent and 2 soso members grew to a core group of about 40 with an active membership of over 100. We saw God move in magnificent ways. We witnessed God touching and changing hard core, down and out peo ple. We watched people face extreme difficulties and even death with peace and joy as a result of being changed by Jesus! We reached the place where we would actually discuss the things we were going to pray about because God was answering all of our prayers. Thats right we actually would ask ourselves if we really wanted to pray this way because we had seen and knew that God would honor our prayer. Think what you want about that, it is the way it was. We didnt argue, we didnt bick er and we didnt question our leaders; we were too busy doing what we were taught and we were too busy praising God for the results. We were doing things the CMA way. At the risk of offending some I want to say that I see too many chapters and too many members questioning too many things. I see chapters and mem bers allowing their focus to become some policy or issue that they dont agree with instead of what it should be

and that is, taking the Gospel message of hope, peace, and salvation through Jesus to the lost. Dont get me wrong, Im not saying CMA as an organization, or its leaders, are perfect. I am saying that what we do works. Lives are touched and changed when we do what we do. No lives are touched or changed when we argue, bicker, or publically question our lead ership. In fact the very opposite hap pens and we turn people away. Over the next few months Im going to address some of the issues that seem to bother some members. Ill state the policy and Ill give the reasons behind those policies. Between now and then, please ask yourself why youre a part of CMA. Theres really no wrong answer. If you joined for the fellowship, good, we have a place for you. If you joined for the ministry, good, we have a place for you. If you joined for the youth, good, we have a place for you. If you joined for Fast Lane, good we have a place for you. If you joined for prison ministry, hardcore biker ministry, quads or whatever else, good, we have a place for you. Until next time; Its all about Jesus! CMA

Looking to 2014
By HIRAM Villaseor

013 is almost over and while we think about what has happened this year, we also may begin to think about things wed like to change in 2014. Most of us have things that wed like to change in our habits, attitudes and life styles, so we come up with a list of New Years Resolutions. We all desire to improve the way we live our lives in one way or another. We make commitments to spend more personal time with God and in His Word. As we strive to meet these goals that weve set, after a month or so, we look back and see that no mat ter how hard we try, most of the time we fall short of the mark. Most all of us struggle with this. Why is that? Even the Apostle Paul writes about his struggles with this very thing. In Romans 7:1921 (TLB) he writes; When I want to do good, I don't; and when I try not to do wrong, I do it anyway. Now if I am doing what I don't want to, it is plain where the trouble is: sin still has me in its evil grasp. It seems to be a fact of life that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. As I read this passage, I can clearly see myself as I set goals of how I want to change, and see myself many times falling short of those goals. The more I try to change the way I act or react toward certain people, I find myself going right back to acting the way I had determined not to act. Why do we have such a struggle with all this? When Adam and Eve made the deci

sion to disobey God by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they not only broke the relationship they had with God, but they set into place the spiritual law of sin and death. That spiri tual law still has its hold on humanity. Its ever present. No matter how much we as human beings try to overcome that law, we fail because within ourselves, we dont have the power to overcome that spiritual law. Its like the law of gravity. It doesnt matter how much we try, we just cant break its hold on us! If we step off the edge of a cliff, or anything that is up off the ground, we will instantly find our selves in the full grasp of the law of grav ity and we end up flat on the ground! There is no way, within ourselves that we can break its hold on us. But if we apply another law of physics, the Law of Lift, then we can overcome the hold of the law of gravity. A plane with out the power to push it down the runway will remain on the ground because of the law of gravity. But when the pilot pushes on the throttle and the plane begins to move, the more power that is applied the faster it goes until the law of lift takes effect and overcomes the law of gravity. It does not cancel the law of gravity, because as soon as the power is cut of, the plane will come down! So as long as there is power being applied, the law of lift will overcome the law of gravity. Romans 8:12 (KJV) says; There is therefore now no condemnation to them

which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Jesus Christ has made a way for us to overcome the law of sin and death! The power comes from Him! That first verse says that to do this, we must not walk after the flesh, but after the Spirit. That has to be our focus. Not our resolutions or what weve decided to change, but we must seek Jesus first! Thats where the power comes from to overcome the things in our lives that hold us down. As we get ready for this New Year, lets all remember where the power comes from and stay firmly connected to that power source so that we can contin ue changing the world, one heart at a time! CMA

times when we have gone against God, stain our souls and have consequences in our daily lives. Here are some ways sins affect us: 1. Sins push us away from God. From the beginning, sins push people away from God (Genesis 2:17; 3:8 Adam and Eve). When we disobey God, we dont want to be around Him and seek to avoid Him. Isaiah 59:1,2 and Ephesians 2:12 both tell us our sins divide us from God and the comfort of His presence. 2. Sin blows up relationships. When we sin against God and each other, relationships pay the price. Its true with husbands and wives and its true with parents and children. Children in a family may be alienated because of jeal ousy, selfishness, deceit, or hatred. This same effect takes place in schools, churches and youth groups. Lies, gossip, jeal ousy, pride, stubbornness, are all sins that hurt friendships. (James 3:1418; Galatians 2:1114; Romans 16:17). 3. Sin makes us feel worthless and defeated. When we deliber ately sin against God it makes us feel horrible and we lose all self respect. Our mistakes not only

Billy Rivers Billys bad boy biker lifestyle of violence, lawlessness, and drug addiction brought him to a very predictable place, locked up facing 165 years in prison. Read how through the ministry of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, God in His infinite mercy and grace transformed Billys life, gave him ultimate freedom in Christ, and called him to be a humble, committed messenger of the Gospel. In Billys own words; If He can forgive me of heroin addiction, lying, stealing, and the two children who died, I promise He will forgive you of the things you have done in your life. John Ogden Jr. God demonstrated His faithfulness as He patiently waited for John to turn from a risky lifestyle of parties, alcohol, and drugs and return to his Christian roots. As his mother faithfully prayed in belief that he would become a mighty man of God, divine protection brought John through many potentially tragic accidents and incidents. Through it all God had a plan, and in his own crisis of faith, John finally yielded and dedicated his life anew to his Savior and Lord. In answer to his mothers prayers, as National Evangelist in the South Central Region for the Christian Motorcyclists Association, he has indeed become a mighty man of God. Beth Wright Drugs haunted Beths entire life from preteen, ruining her school days, cutting short her college, and eventually ruining her nursing career. Desperate to support this diabolical drug habit, she eventually found herself selling her body to men she came to hate. Finally, finding herself depressed, alone, and pregnant she felt wounded, broken, and worthless and ready to take her own life. Through the soft gentle touch of a stranger God called her to go home. She responded to the genuine love from her family and the unconditional love of her Savior and today minsters to others beside her husband in Christian Motorcyclists Association South Africa using the healed scars of her past to be a blessing and encouragement to all. Ramon Changuion Brought up in a comfortable, loving, and wholesome environment Ramon was motorcycle crazy. Riding from age three, this obsession eclipsed every other interest in his life, including school. By age 16 his father recognized his talent and helped him embark on a racing career, eventually becoming proficient in several motorcycling disciplines. Ramon was successful but his life revolved solely around his own desires and pleasures, using people to feed his addiction for selfsatisfaction. The suicide of a close friend prompted him to take a good hard look at his life and what was important. Through another friend, he found a God that would completely fulfill the satisfaction he was so desperately seeking. Today Ramon serves in fulltime motorcy cle ministry as leadership in Christian Motorcyclists Association South Africa.

Mission Trips

RFS Network

By JOHNNY Upton

he purpose of CMAs Run for the Son Network is to allow the membership to share ideas and celebrate successes. Heres a great example of both. We received a fundraising tip from a member who was baking small sweet breads and placing them in local busi nesses with a little sign saying Donations go to Christian Motorcyclists Associations Run for the Son. We sent that tip out and a few months later we received a note asking if it would be possible to pass a thank you to the lady who came up with the bread idea. She states my husband and I were praying about a way to invest our seed money and reap a harvest for Christ. When I read this fundraising idea it was like a light bulb came on. I knew this was something I could do. My hus

band works in a maintenance shop of several hundred guys. We bought the ingredients to make mini loaves of banana and pumpkin bread. He put them in a basket in the break room and offered them for a donation for Run for the Son. The first day we received over $61.00 and that was just with 15 loaves. The baking continues and the money for Run for the Son keeps coming in. Brochures are laid beside the homemade bread with parts highlighted as to where the donations go. Yea God! What a ride! This couple turned $30 into $700 to be used to share the Gospel through the Run for the Son. CMA
If you have unique fundraising ideas please share. You can send your ideas and/or suggestions to Johnny Upton, the National RFS Team Lead, at jwsaupton@sbcglobal.net.

How many presents do you think you will get on Christmas day? How many presents have you bought for other people? When you think about Christmas are presents the first thing that comes to mind? Christmas is about presents, but not the ones we usually think of first. It is about the greatest present of all time. It is not one you or I will open on Christmas morning; it is our Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus was born on Christmas day. His mother, Mary, and His father, Joseph, had to stop at a barn for the night because there was no room for them at the inn. Do you wonder what it was like in that barn? Most barns are not very clean, but it was good enough for Jesus. He did not need all this world had to offer, He is the Son of God. All the treasures of the world are not as good as what He has in heaven. We can also have more than this world can offer all we have to do is be saved. Do you know Jesus as your Savior? If not talk to your mom or dad about Jesus and use the prayer below to let Jesus know you want to be one of His kids. Dear God, I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me and come into my heart. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. This Christmas remember it is not about worldly gifts. It is about the greatest gift ever given, Jesus Christ.

20shop.cmausa.orgDecember 2013

And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn (Luke 2:7, KJV).

Chapter Officers:
By TOM Palazzolo

Above and Beyond the Call of Duty

ver the years, I have often been asked exactly what is required of a President or a Road Captain or any one of the chapter officer posi tions. The easy answer is to look in the CMA Handbook. But I like to tell folks that the position is what YOU make of it. You can do the basics listed in the Handbook and be a good chapter offi cer. Or you can step out and go above and beyond the basics. Here are a few suggestions of how a chapter officer can go above and beyond the call of duty.

VICE PRESIDENT: Be the GoToGuy The GoToGuy is the one you can always count on in a pinch. The VP needs to be able to do whatever needs to be done. If the Road Captain cant make it, the VP leads the ride. If the Treasurer can't be there, the VP takes the offering and gets it to the Treasurer. When the Chaplain isn't

(continue on page 28)

21www.cmausa.orgDecember 2013

PRESIDENT Going above and beyond for a President means giving a lot of focus to leadership training. It is on the job training. Theres the person who leads the meeting and theres the person who leads the people. Lead by influence. The goal is to cul tivate good leaders. You do that by giv ing your officers more responsibility. Delegate Let them learn how to make those phone calls, get that information, and set up that event. Don't dump it on them and walk away. You are ultimate ly responsible for the outcome. Walk them through it. Lead by example. Give members opportunities to speak to the chapter. Allow them to give their reports at chapter meetings. Let them grow into leadership. It seems easier to just do it yourself but a president who does it all is not a leader. Train your replace ment.

there, the VP gives a devotion and leads with prayer. The VP should be facilitating officer meetings so hell be able to run the chapter meeting if the President cant be there. The VP should also be the first per son to introduce himself to visitors and then take those visitors, introduce them to the President, and take that moment to fill him in on who these folks are. If you do that, you honor these new people by personally intro ducing them to the leadership. You exhibit respect for your leadership and your president will appreciate know ing if these folks are members of your church, your unsaved brother in law and his buddy, or representatives from a local motorcycle club who have something urgent to discuss with you. The VP can be the GoToGuy to get things done and a great support to the whole chapter. SECRETARY Your primary responsibility is man aging all of the chapters information. Going above and beyond is making sure the right people have the right information at the right time. The secretary can be invaluable to the chapter by knowing the CMA Handbook. You can keep your chapter from making fatal mistakes just by being familiar with it and having it handy at meetings for quick reference. A good Secretary takes responsibil ity for recording member's activities, salvations, other ministry, and recom mitments. You not only want your quarterly report to be accurate, you want your chapter to shine and you don't want anyone's efforts in sharing the Gospel to go unnoticed. The second most important thing you do is get contact information from visitors. (The Vice President should be able to help you with that). Then make sure all the officers have that informa

tion. Heres why: The President should call not email them a few days after the meeting to thank them for coming and ask if they have any questions about the chapter or about CMA. The VP should contact them before the next meeting and invite them to come again. The Road Captain should con tact them before the next ride and invite them to come along. Every officer should take some responsibility for reaching out to visi tors and they cant do that unless the Secretary makes sure all officers have their contact information. Going above and beyond means not only gathering information, but find ing ways to use it to benefit your chap ter. TREASURER Treasurers tend to think that all they have to do is keep the check book and report the balance every month. A Treasurer who goes above and beyond is sensitive and prayerful about chap ter needs. A Treasurer looks closely at regular expenses to see if there are cost saving alternatives such as buying needed items in bulk or perhaps searches for options like renting a needed item vs buying something that might only be used once a year. A Treasurer who goes above and beyond will try to anticipate chapter needs, pray about how best to meet those needs, do the research, and then go into officers meetings prepared to present a solution and a way to meet those needs. Note: A Treasurer also needs to accept when the team dis agrees or declines the Treasurers sug gestion. A good Treasurer is a good steward of the chapters finances, not only what the chapter has, but what the chapter expects to have, need, or spend.

By RANDY Lackey

ou all have heard "God has got a plan and a purpose for your life." I truly believe this. But some years ago, it wasn't always like that for me. Lately I have been thinking more deeply about life. Life as it is will always be meant to be lived out to the fullest. But in such a way to bring glory to God and not about our self interests. Someone posed the question to me about a week ago, "What is your moment?" Should I answer, my birth, my marriage to Robin, the birth of each

of our 3 children, my salvation experi ence, when I joined CMA? I could not come up with just my moment. For you see, God has given me many moments. I look and seek God's wisdom daily, but I also expect and pray for my moments and God has never let me down. So you might ask, why are you lay ing this "my moment" trip on me? As members of CMA, I want you to have as many moments in your life that you can while you are still here on this earth. For you see, your moments will

become your memories. That will be your legacy you leave for your family, your fellow CMAers, and your broth ers and sisters in Christ, as a Christian in God's Army. "So God desired to show....the unchangeable character of His pur pose, He guaranteed it with an oath" (Hebrews 6:17, ESV). When you asked God into your life you said a prayer to Him. Have you kept your word? CMA

divides us from God and others, but also from our true self, the young person we want to become. In the Bible, Job hated himself because of his sin (Job 42:6). When we think about the things we have done, we might think, How could I do such a thing? Sin makes people miserable. 4. Sin delivers a burden of guilt. We hide from God because of guilt and feelings of shame. Adam, David and Judas, all felt it (Genesis 3:10; Psalm 38:38; Matthew 27:35). Our consciences become wounded. Some live with the guilt for years and years. Under the weight of guilt you cant live with joy or hope for a better selfie. We all sin, we miss it with God (Romans 3:23). But that doesnt change the fact, through Christ we have the opportunity to be forgiven instead of guilty. We can be changed from down

cast, ashamed young people, bent over from the weight of guilt, trying every thing to run from the presence of God, because of the embarrassment. We can be forgiven, given a clean opportunity to be the teenager we want to be with God. Listen to 1 John 1:510 (NLT): This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. 6 So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practic ing the truth. 7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in

our hearts. We are lying to ourselves if we think we dont sin. We do. We all do. But the amazing news is that if we come to Jesus, confessing our sins, he will for give us and cleanse us. Just like the buried trumpet, he will dig us out, clean us up and get us ready to be used for His glorious purpose. CMA

CHAPLAIN Be a spiritual leader to every per son in your chapter. Above and beyond for a Chaplain means that when you take prayer requests at your meetings, you write them down and call those folks sometime in the month to find out how that turned out. (The Secretary should have all their contact information for you.) It means a lot to know you continued to pray after the meeting. When a prayer request comes through email, give that person a call. Pray before you call. Allow God to bring to mind a scripture. Offer a little encouragement and pray with them over the phone. When you prepare a devotional, dont just pull some quick lesson from a book the night before the meeting. Pray about where your chapter is spir itually. Is there something they might really need to hear right now? When youre going to an event, especially if its a local event, do a prayer walk as soon as you arrive. Know the prayer warriors in your chapter and take them with you. Prepare the way for the rest of the chapter to come in and minister. Dont just take responsibility for the spiritu al needs OF your chapter. Take respon sibility for the spiritual needs IN your chapter. Some of the ways we can keep our chapter strong is studying God's Word together. Why not plan a weekly Bible

study during the off season. CMA offers Bible Studies on line at www.cmausa.org/spiritualresources/ ROAD CAPTAIN Road Captains go above and beyond when they balance the skills, resources and needs of every rider. Road Captains are very important in CMA chapters. You lead the troops into bat tle. Like the President, you can lead the ride or you can lead the riders. Dont just plan rides, roads, and rest stops; plan for the needs of the riders. Balance your rider's skills, time, money, and energy. Look at your schedule. If you have a weeknight ride sandwiched between two working ral lies, make it an easy ride with lots of time for fellowship. If you just went on a big charity run, plan an inexpensive ride for that week, maybe out for ice cream rather than a dinner ride. Be aware of the mechanical condi tion of your group's bikes. Take a quick look at tires before a ride. Consider the different riding styles of your chapter. You need to be the guy who appreciates every kind of bike, every kind of rider, and every style of riding. Diversify your chapter by mak ing sure you have rides for everybody. If you have sport bikes in your group, plan a few rides that are great for sport bikes. Plan a ride just for sport bikes, or for your off road riders. Make it fun for everyone. Some Road Captains ride the route

before an event. Why not call the Chaplain and make it a prayer ride? Ride safe. Try to instill good riding habits in your chapter members. Make available information on rider safety courses and refresher courses offered in your area. You might plan for your whole chapter to take a refresher course together. You wont always know the kinds of bikes and riders who are going to show up for a ride. Thats why plan ning your ride schedule requires prayer and faith. God is the true Road Captain for every chapter. You follow Him and the rest of the chapter will gladly follow you. Whatever your calling in CMA, we know you will do all that you are able to do to be a blessing to your chapter. Remember your chapter voted you in and they have faith in you. Thank you for all you already do and all you hope to do in CMA. CMA
