Storage Administration Skill & Job Requirements: - - > Storage( L2) - Detailed knowledge of Storage Arrays, Tape libraries, RAID, Network storage and Fibre Channel. Familiarity with Storage protocols like FC, SCSI, SAS and SATA. Aware of Storage management concerns and standards like SMI- S. Good knowledge of data management ? data protection, backup, migration, disaster recovery. Sound knowledge of File systems - - > Backup( L1) - Monitor backup jobs, drives and robots using backup console. Restart the failed backup if necessary and start the manual backup. Perform data restore Performing SOP based activities. Handling media management such us ejecting and loading media?s. Perform the robot inventory. Generate a backup status report. Have knowledge on the following concepts - backup basics, master & media server management, Storage unit management, policy management and media management. - - > Storage Admin( L1) - Candidate should have experience in Monitoring tasks like Monitoring the Storage Utilization, Monitoring Paths using Powerpath, storage space management and Event monitoring & analyzing. Identifying the basic hardware issues and Escalating to the Vendor for issues like Disk Failures, SPS Failures and Backend Issues. Co- coordinating for Dial- in Access and all other Dial Homeerrors. Monitoring the Rebuilding of data in hot- spare when there is a disk failure. Strong troubleshooting skills in Storage environment and solving the problems in very short time, pro- active measures and preventive measure for storage problems/ errors. Creation of weekly status reports, escalating unresolved problems/ pending tickets immediately to the next Level. - - > Platform Support( L1) - Unix / Windows basics, Vi editor, Password management, OS Checklist, Patch Monitoring, User administration, Group administration, Hardware diagnosis / administration, Print Queue Monitoring, Monitoring of CPU utilization, Monitoring File Systems, Monitoring various Processes, Monitoring Log files, Errors Batch Job Monitoring, Monitoring DNS / DHCP Service Event logs monitoring - - > Infra Storage Administration( L2) - Candidate should have experience in storage administration like Creating RAID Groups, Mapping LUNs, LUN Masking, Host, Host group and Integrating Hosts like Windows, HP- UX, Solaris and AIX. Configuring HBA Cards using both host and Vendor utilities like HBAnyware, SANsurfer. Configuring Zoning and Activating the zonesets. Installing configuring storage manager software in both GUI & CLI. Configuring HOT spare disk. Taking Backup of storage configuration file and fabric configuration and restoring the same. Configuring Mutlipathing Software?s like SDD, MPIO. Configuring boot LUN for Blade center servers. Configuring Flash copy & Volume copy. Working in volume management and volume group, array, and LUN allocation. Cluster server and troubleshooting. Firmware upgradation and Vendor Coordinatio - - > Netapp Storage( L2) - Experience in Filer Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting, Candidate should have experience in storage administration like Creating RAID Groups, Binding LUNs, and Integrating Hosts like Windows, HP- UX, Solaris and AIX. Installing Hard disk . License - CIFS, ISCSI, NFS, protocol installation and Configuring according to the environment. Creating snapshots, qtree, quotas, Space allocation, troubleshooting, Log Checking, Filer Monitoring, Aggregates Creation, Domain configuration to the filer, Autosupport response, Upgrade Filer Version. Should have knowledge on Multi OS support, ticket handling, virusChecking, Monitoring tools specialist. Creating weekly and monthly reports, escalating unresolved problems/ pending tickets to next level. Candidates should possess knowledge on performance tuning, Taking backup of Filers and restoring the same. - - > Roles and Responsibilities: Linux Admin, IBM- AIX Admin, Storage Administration, Unix Admin, UNIX Server High Availability, UNIX Virtualization, UNIX Server Performance management Skill & Job Requirements: - - >Storage Administration( L3) - Should have a strong expertize on Storage Area Network ( SAN) , NAS. SAN Experience of understanding SAN switches. Great hands on experience of Logical Units ( LUN) . Should be familiar with Vendor specific redundant & business continuity technologies such as Business Copy ( BC) , Continuous access ( CA) , Information Lifecycle Management ( ILM) , SRDF etc. Should Have experience in installing & configuring Backups, Backup agents using tape libraries Knowledge. Great understanding on managing zones, Fiber Channel ( FC) technologies. Working knowledge of Backup technologies such as IBM TSM, HP Data Protector, Veritas Netbackup etc

- - >Unix Admin( L2) - Canditates should have worked in Unix/ Linux Platforms like Solaris, HP- UX, AIXand Red Hat Linux. Should have Administrative expereince in Unix like UserManagement, Process & Daemon Management, Softwares ( Patches & Packages) Management. Should have worked on Filesystems like Filesystems, Exporting & Mounting FileSystems, Recovering Filesystem Errors and Device Path Management. Should have worked on File Permissions. Should have worked on Performanceissues, Volume Managers & clusters. Knowledge of Disk Space Management, Performing user administration, performing System securit, configuring networkfile system and Auto FS. - - >UNIX Server High Availability( L3) - Concepts, Design, review, implement and management of High Availability Systems& Software, Mission Critical System design Techniques, High Availability , Fault, Error, Failure, Single Points of Failure, Business continuity, DR.
