I feel myself Very fortunate to express my views on the book
"Thozugayil Viralai Asaikkalama" written by Moulana Syed Ghouse
Madani Sahib. It's an excellent book on the subject especially in Tamil
language. It also shows the great learning and scholarship of the
author. There are hardly any books on this subject or Mas'ala in any
language. This book supplies a very important need and also is a
valuable contribution in enlightening the people who are misguided
by the Wahabbi Ulemas on the Mas'ala of "Shaking the Finger of
shahadah in Tashahhud".
In this book, Moulana Syed Ghouse Madani Sahib has clearly
explained the Mas'ala of shaking or lifting the finger of Shahadah in
Tashahhud by quoting numerous Ahadith of Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi
Wasallam and Various other references, traditions of sahabas and
other Islamic Scholars.
He has explained clearly that the act of lifting / shaking the finger
once in Tashahhud is the Sunnah of Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi
Wasallam and at the same time he has also proved that "Shaking the
Finger of Shahadah continuosly in Tashahhud is against the sunnah of
Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam and is an Innovation (Bid'ah) in
Islam.
It is earnestly hoped that the readers will study this book with an
open mind and heart and will introduce this book in their own circles
& try to prevent those who have become the victims of this Bid'ath
(Shaking the finger of Shahadah Continuously in Tashahhud)
The author of this book deserves our Warmest Congratulations
and sincere thanks. May Allah shower his mercy on him and accept his
great Contribution in eliminating a misguiding Innovation.
