Internal Regulations

Foreword The Ecole des Mines de Nantes provides students with recently built accommodation, of modern design and in perfect order. A monthly financial contribution, fixed by the Director, is as ed of the students. The amount and conditions of payment are specified in the !ontract which they have signed. "f there are fewer students than apartments, it is possible to lodge outside residents, especially during the period of wor placements. The current regulations e#ually apply to these outside residents. Article 1 : These regulations are part of the Academic $egulations for all re#uirements concerning accommodation at the %tudents& 'all. The regulations can only be altered following a decsion by the Director. Article 2 : Each student or resident lodged by the %chool must pay a monthly financial contribution paid to the (inancial Manager of the %tudents& hall, according to the tarifs fixed by the Director of the %chool. Article 3 : Access to underground par ing spaces is strictly limited to those students or residents who have made a formal application and who have paid for the space. The par ing spaces are exclusively for cars and may not be used to store or stoc any other material or e#uipment whatsoever. Mechanical repairs or maintenance, oil and other fluid changes, and car washing are forbidden in both underground and overground par ing areas Artcle 4 : The Director of the %tudents 'all regularly visits for technical reasons ) a notice of intent is left at least * days in advance in the letter box. "n extreme situations and especially when health or safety demand, the personnel of the 'all +under the responsability of the Director of the 'all, are permitted to enter apartments without prior notice. At the end of the rental period, the student or the resident agrees to a final visit of the apartment after -. hours notice. Article 5 : /roper up eep, cleanliness and normal ventilation are the responsibility of the student or resident. Article 6 : "t is absolutely forbidden to hold weapons, including nives, or to gamble on the premises. "t is e#ually forbidden to engage in physical or verbal abuse or violence. Article 7 : Mutual respect is re#uired of all residents and students. No noise or consumption of alcohol must either disturb the environment or harm the health of neighbours. 0uests must be made aware of the dangers of alcohol abuse. The appropriate sanctions will be applied in the case of guests driving under the influence of alcohol. 1etwenn 23 pm an * am, playing noisy games and the use of musical instruments, radio, music centre or television are all forbiden. /age 2 sur 4

Article 8 :

The growth, sale or use of cannabis or other drugs are strictly forbidden.

Article 9 : All damage, or unusual incident must be notified to the personnel immediately. Article 10 : %ub5letting the accommodation or any commercial activity is formally forbidden. Tenants may not exchange accommodation among themselves. Each tenant is formally responsible for the eys which have been conferred on them. Article 11 : No alteration in the apartment is allowed. The use of gas heaters or coo ers, hanging washing or clothing at the windows or on the balconies, leaving items on the windowsills is forbidden. No water or any rubbish may be thrown in the common areas of the buildings The use of for 5lift truc s and other lifting devices is forbidden. (or hygienic reasons, pets +dogs and cats, are not allowed. Article 12 : An inventory of fixtures and fittings, including their condition, is established at the beginning and at the end of the rental period. All damage which is not caused by normal wear and tear is the responsibility of the student or resident and must be paid for. Article 13 : All meetings or events organised by students and residents must be agreed beforehand with the Director of the 'all Article 14 : Any contravention of these regulations may lead to the end of the rental contract without notice, in particular where there is a serious fault or non5payment of the financial contribution.
