A heartfelt congratulations and greetings to the 41st Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Presidential Gold Cup organizers and participants! The 41st year of this event is an important milestone, not just for PCSO, but for the country and the individual as well. PCSO has a traditional relationship and natural affinity with horseracing. When sweepstakes was our sole product in the 1950s, our first three prizes were determined by the ranking of the horses that carried our tickets. Though this is no longer the practice, the old horse and jockey icon stayed and remained a sentimental and important institutional memory and legacy of the agency. Moreover, any genuine racegoer and fan knows that the PCSO Presidential Gold Cup is the longest continuously-running sporting event in the country and consequently, one of the most awaited. It is also a very prestigious event, featuring only the very best runners. Horseracing too is a sport that symbolizes mans competitive spirit and determination to achieve his goals, whether this is crossing the finish line or reaching ones own ambitions and dreams. As we remember moments of horseracing past and celebrate the Cup this current year, may this 41st celebration hallmark new beginnings and welcome good fortune for everyone.

For the 41st year, the PCSO mounts its flagship racing event the Presidential Gold Cup in honor of President Benigno S. Aquino III. It is a long-standing event in racing eagerly anticipated by participants and racing fans that PCSO believes is its legacy, and thus, its responsibility, to continue in the face of changing times. More than a spectacle to entertain and amuse, the Gold Cup fulfills significant social objectives. As part of PCSOs mandate, it helps support the horseracing and breeding industry that generates jobs, creates infrastructure, and contributes to government by way of taxes and economic growth. We welcome everyone to this years Gold Cup, and hope that it will shine as a beacon of history and tradition in these trying times, as a tribute to all that is good and worthy in the Filipino soul. To the participants, we extend our sincere wishes for a safe and successful journey. To the spectators, may you enjoy the excitement of this grand tradition. And to everyone, our greetings also for the holiday season and may you receive with grateful hearts the blessings of the new year, in order to share them with others in the spirit of charity.

The PCSO Racing Committee proudly presents the 41st PCSO Presidential Gold Cup, the mostanticipated race of the year. This prestigious competition, along with the other events on the PCSO racing calendar including the Silver Cup, Freedom Cup, Anniversary Race, and monthly Special Maiden Races, provides a venue that promotes excellence and the highest standards in a demanding and difficult sport. The Gold Cup this year attracted the industrys best runners, and boasts a formidable lineup that includes last years Gold Cup and this years PCSO Silver Cup and Freedom Cup winner Hagdang Bato. Yet the other entries are not to be discounted: Al hombre osado, la fortuna le da la mano, a way of saying Fortune favors the bold. The Philippine Racing Commission is a valued partner in this event, having for several years contributed an additional P1 million to the purse, a hefty incentive for the entries to shine their brightest. We are also grateful to the Manila Jockey Club, Inc. for hosting the Gold Cup at their San Lazaro Leisure Park with their fullest cooperation. This much anticipated racing event not only showcases the top athletes of the industry today; it brings together an entire horse racing community who unceasingly await the rise of its next champion. Now on its 41st staging, the Gold Cup is the longest, continuously-running racing event in the country. Apart from its impressive line-up, the historic title comes with a hefty and generous grand prize for the winner. Truly, the Bayang Karerista should expect no less than the best as these athletes take the spotlight. fter the dust settled, one thing was clear the dominant horse of the 2012 season was a Philippine horse, bred and born on Batangas soil.
All seven entries jumped cleanly out of the gate, but it was the favorite Hagdang Bato who took the lead from the start, with second pick and 2011 PCSO Gold Cup winner Magna Carta clinging to his flank. The others were lengths behind the two rivals.
Hagdang Bato (Quaker Ridge Fire Down Under) romped over 2,000 meters of dirt at Santa Ana Park on 9 December 2012 to win the historic 40th running of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Presidential Gold Cup.

The two flew over the track fleet as thought, until the backstretch when brave 4YO Magna Carta, carrying the heaviest handicap weight of 58 kgs., started a mighty surge meant to carry himself past Hagdang Bato. But the 3YO, sensing a challenge, lengthened its strides at the far turn to put even more daylight between itself and Magna Carta to win wire-to-wire by three lengths, timing 2:09 (25.8-25.2-25.4-24-28.6). Tensile Strength came in second, followed by a spent Magna Carta in third, while Cinderella Kid took fourth. Chevrome, Steel Creation, and Pleasantly Perfect rounded out the cast. Hagdang Batos owner and breeder, Mandaluyong City Mayor lawyer Benhur Abalos, was elated at the win of his stables pride. He explained, My game plan was successful, with Hagdang Bato guided by jockey Jonathan Hernandez with his signature

aerodynamic style down the middle of the track instead of by the rail, which at Santa Ana Park is considered heavy going. The Ruben Tupas-conditioned Hagdang Bato is one of the few horses that have the distinction of sweeping the Triple Crown and winning the PCSO Gold Cup in the same year. What made this PCSO Gold Cup even more memorable is that it was the Ruby Anniversary edition. How many sporting events reach such a milestone? And this coveted plum was plucked by the horse that was also the valedictorian of its juvenile batch. Present at the awarding ceremony were, from the PCSO: General Manager lJose Ferdinand M. Rojas II, PCSO Draw and Races manager Carlos M. Castillo, members of the PCSO Committee on Races, and other PCSO personnel.
From the Philippine Racing Commission came Chairman Angel L. Castao Jr., Executive Director and Commissioner Jesus B. Cantos, and Commissioners Victor Tantoco, Franco Loyola, Reynaldo Fernando, and Eduardo Jose. With them, from Philippine Racing Club (owner/operator of the host track), were President & COO Simeon Cua and EVP-COO Allan Abesamis.

Also held that day was the 13th Philtobo Grand Championship Day, which ensured a good turnout from racing fans. Hagdang Batos stellar performance earned Mayor Abalos a huge P1 million peso prize from Philracom on top of the P3 million provided by PCSO for the winner. Placers up to fourth also received hefty purses, with a purse of P200,000 for the winning breeder.

The PCSO Presidential Gold Cup was conceived in the early 1970s by the then-PCSO Board of Directors headed by chairman and general manager Nereo C. Andolong to boost the local horse racing industry and to elevate its standard to international levels.

Don Pedro Cojuangcos Sun God thundered home virtually unopposed to win the inaugural run of the event in 1973 and capped a brilliant and impressive racing career. Perennial crowd favorite Ilocos King grabbed the honors. Constante Rubios ageless galloper was renowned for his unmatched fighting heart.
1979: 1976:
Gretchen Cojuangcos brave and gutsy Fiorella pulled off the first photo finish victory in the Gold Cup by nipping Gypsy Grey.
The Yulo familys Gypsy Grey, winner in 1978, was entered anew for a record fourth time. The gutsy grey almost pulled off a repeat victory but fell short of the mark, finishing second to Peping Cojuangcos Honor Roll.

Underrated Hennas Gold surprisingly took home the crown.
Canlubang-raised and Yulo-bred Little Morning frustrated the hopes of stable mate Gypsy Grey, who again wound up in second place.
1980:
Horseman Nicky Jacintos celebrated chestnut filly Red Annie reigned supreme and completed a Horse of the Year performance with a runaway victory against a stellar Gold Cup field.
1978:
Back-to-back defeats did not deter seasoned grey galloper Gypsy Grey from trying again; this time she succeeded.

Music Machines Gold Cup win completed a fairy tale victory for the Galang brothers, who were competing for the first time in top rung competition. Time Masters victory this year cemented his status as superhorse. Andrew Sanchez celebrated galloper followed the trail of track greats Fair And Square and Skywalker to complete the Triple Crown - Gold Cup grand slam. Time Master eventually retired unbeaten in all his starts as one of the greatest racers of all time.
and 1982: The phenomenal rise of Cesar and Herminia Mamons Fair and Square was marked in 1981. Fair and Square was the first Triple Crown champion in the Philippines and undoubtedly the most outstanding racehorse of his generation. He won the event anew the following year and installed himself as the first local racer to achieve the elusive backto-back conquest of the prestigious PCSO Presidential Gold Cup.
Henry Cojuangcos home-bred Triple Crown champion Skywalker posted a convincing victory to become the years undisputed champion galloper.

Thriller, Time Masters one-eyed stablemate from the same Sanchez stable scored an impressive comefrom-behind win against the best of the year. and 1990: Barely 3YO on the day of the race in 1989, the Toshio Abeowned champion filly Sun Dancer created quite a stir by duplicating Time Masters unblemished run through the Triple Crown and the Gold Cup. Sun Dancer created track lore in 1990 when she captured her second Gold Cup victory in a row to match her sire Fair And Square as the only other horse to score back-to-back cup conquests.
Andrew Sanchez gutsy galloper Dino Bambino bagged the coveted crown, which proved to be the highlight of his storied track career. Despite coming off a long spell, Carmel Investments veteran Headmaster won the years most coveted championship in signature off-thepace fashion.

Rolando Rojas sent off his stables star, top favorite Crown Colony, to score a dramatic last-to-first performance in the Gold Cup, rebounding from a poor start twenty lengths off the leader to win by a slim margin over Joy Rojass Rising Sun. President Fidel Ramos himself was on hand to award the trophy to the owners of the winning entry, the first president to have ever graced the running of the race.

The temperamental Grand Party, another Andrew Sanchez-owned entry, was distracted by a band of noisy cheerers down the back stretch but recovered just in time to finally win the Gold Cup. In one decisive push to the payoff line, Red Star Rising outdueled West Bound by a neck to gain instant celebrity and crown himself Gold Cup champion. Far fourth favorite, 3YO colt Speed Advantage, upstaged highlytouted division rival Real Spicy with an amazing turn of foot in the final 400 meters to win by three lengths. Ibarra tried to repeat his victory the previous year, taking the lead in the six-horse field. Running off the pace was Don Enrico, who revved up at the far turn to win in decisive fashion.

Once again Ibarra tried his luck, again running in the lead for most of the race. But Yes Pogi staged a dramatic rally in the final stages to win by four, his slow-to-fire style proving an advantage in the grueling competition.
Yes Pogi was gunning for a back-to-back win, but was thwarted by the outstanding skill shown by Magna Carta who ran in fifth for most of the race. Yes Pogi took the lead briefly at the backstretch, but at the far turn Magna Carta surged past the frontrunners to win by almost two lengths, giving his owner, Mayor Sandy Javier, his first Gold Cup victory.
2012:
The favorite Hagdang Bato took the lead from the start while second pick Magna Carta ran off the pace until the backstretch, when he attempted a mighty rally under his heavy handicap weight of 58 kilograms. Hagdang Bato met the challenge with determination to win wire-to-wire by three.

One of the articles in the first PCSO Presidential Gold Cup souvenir magazine has turned out to be prophetic in ways perhaps not anticipated even by some of its own founders. The line goes, In magnitude and prestige, the Presidential Gold Cup is certain to equal, if not in the long run excel, the classic races held elsewhere in the world. pride of place among their other racing memorabilia. Most of all, they want to see their names and that of their horse engraved in the annals of racing, never to be forgotten. Its a race for immortality. When you win the Gold Cup, you will live forever in memory, in stories, and in the enduring tradition that is still carried on by PCSO, and that is one of its sacred trusts.

The first part, at least, has come to pass. The PCSO Gold Cup is the most-awaited annual event of the year. Every horseowner, even the ones with perhaps a horse or two, dreams of a day when they can ascend the awarding area and receive a replica of the iconic Gold Cup. ayor Benhur C. Abalos Jr.s Hagdang Bato (Quaker RidgeFire Down Under) has harvested in seemingly easy fashion all the past stakes races it has participated in that many have described this runner as unbeatable. This years edition of the prize-rich, much-coveted Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Presidential Gold Cup appears to be as easy a fruit to pick. Hagdang Bato plucked the plum last year and intends to duplicate the accomplishment in style. His fans expect no less. Hagdang Bato is no stranger to the 2,000 meters and his partnership with ace rider Jonathan B. Hernandez has been so long, cohesive, and fruitful that the two probably even dream about each other, making the confidence level of runner, rider and even the owner anywhere in the vicinity of high to highest. One of the countrys top caliber conditioners, Ruben S. Tupas, is relentless in devising, scheduling, and giving exercises to prepare Hagdang Bato for this years ordeal. After all, the top handicap weight of 58 kilograms will always be a factor in the lung-busting distance and this years Gold Cup line-up is as tough as it can get. At the start of the race Royal Jewels (Royal Premiere-Cats Jewel), Pugad Lawin (Refuse to Bend-Unstoppable Lady), Divine Eagle (Tempestuous Wind-Rosebud), Arriba Amor (Quaker Ridge-Arriba Queen), and Hagdang Bato will probably be in the lead pack. Boss Jaden (Real Spicy-Tereshkova), Spring Collection (BertrandoSpringstreet Ballet), and My Champ (Baseball Champion-Romantic Thriller) might content themselves to sit back in the second pack, while Sulong Pinoy (Quaker Ridge-Dans Heaven) will probably watch from behind all of the other participants. After continuous hustling and jostling for position, Pugad Lawin and Arriba Amor will probably make their respective bids for solo lead come mid-second canto or be locked in a gruesome head to head battle for it, while Hagdang Bato will linger in third or fourth spot, with minimal urging from its rider. At this point, Spring Collection and Boss Jaden will already make their presence felt, advancing to fourth and fifth spot respectively, but still waiting for Hagdang Bato to make its move. Slam-bang action will probably commence come the early or mid third quarter, depending on the margin the leader has placed between it and its pursuers in the meantime. At this stage, My Champ and Sulong Pinoy, will be ridden like there is no tomorrow if their connections entertain hopes of catching up or even swinging the upset ax. After the smoke clears, there can be only one.

Kaya tinago ni esguerra si arriba amor dahil dito The comments got more heated as the supporters of various entries extolled their virtues speed, versatility, past performance until at some point the stream of opinions degenerated into a verbal brawl, unprintable here, but funny enough if read in context. Horseracing, after all, is supposed to be fun, and the Gold Cup even more so, being the most prestigious race on the calendar and the longest-running continuously-held event in Philippine sports. Racing is also about skill. The Gold Cup is when the most talented horses of the land, 3YO and older, come together to test their limits against the best of the best. But racing is also about the breaks the weather, the track condition, the labangan of feed the horse had that day and whether it gave him a stomach ache or not, the jockeys mood, and a myriad other uncontrollable factors. Whether or not there be an outstanding favorite or a prediction for a foregone conclusion, theres a saying in racing thats been proven true many times Apat ang paa nilang lahat, or, your bet is as good as mine.

The PCSO 2013 Maiden Races
Special Maiden Race 1,200 meters / 26 January Santa Ana Park Mandaluyong Mayor Benhur Abalos scored high in the first PCSO race of the year with the wire-to-wire win of his entry El Libertador. The Perfect Cut x Savanna Wind colt clocked 1:15.6 (2623-26) over 1,200 meters with Kelvin Abobo on board. The trainer was Jojo Angeles. Royal Maverick, Top Story, and Kidneys Magic were the placers, in that order. Special Maiden Race 1,300 meters / February 16 San Lazaro Leisure Park This race was a shocker, with longshot Azimuth (Winemaster x Fuzzy Wit) scoring an upset over the super-hyper-megaultra outstanding favorite Appointment. Joseph Dyhengcos fleet filly Skyway took top honors in this competition. Mark Alvarez guided Skyway wire-to-wire for an easy threelength win over second placer Tap Dance. Down the stretch, Kid Molave staged a powerful rally that brought him close to the frontrunner, but Low Profile shook off the challenger in a sudden burst of energy down the
stretch to win by a decisive 1-1/4 lengths. Low Profile, an island-born runner by Tribal Rule out of Lacquaria, clocked 1:27.4 (1224-24-27) for the 1,400 meter race.
Trial race winner Low Profile outlasted nine others to win this one in decisive fashion. this event, PCSOs first race held at Metro Turf. The colt owned by Mayor Abalos ran off the pace, clinging to the flanks of pacesetter Daragang Magayon, a filly owned by Herminio Esguerra. None of the other participants even showed up in the frame of the live television coverage, prompting railside wags to remark that it was a two-horse race. Rabble Rousers jockey, Jonathan Hernandez, begged his horse for more at the far turn and edged past the plucky filly guided by Jeffril Zarate to win by about a length. Malvars fast track helped Rabble Rouser post a time of 1:10 (23-21-26) for 1,200 meters, prompting lawyer-horseowner Ramon Bagatsing Jr., who spent the afternoon at the races, to exclaim: Nag beinte-uno siya? That was something! Daragang Magayon placed a close second, followed by Grand Charmer, Blue Angel, Green Lover, and Golden Boots last. Special Maiden Race 1,200 meters / July 20 Metro Manila Turf Club Young Turk proved that his winning the trial race was not a fluke when he duplicated his feat during the actual running. It seemed some racing fans were doubtful of his ability because he was sent off as only second pick after Monas Art, who placed second in the trial. Up and Away led for most of the race, with Young Turk running off the pace and Asikaso in third. Young Turk pulled away halfway down the stretch to win by one over Up and Away, who came in second. Monas Art was third. As expected, owner-trainerbreeder Jeci Lapus was elated over his colts win, and complimented the masterful handling of jockey Jonathan Hernandez that ensured their stables victory. ith Hagdang Bato in the lineup, the outcome of the 18th Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Silver Cup on 30 June was inevitable, with the actual running of the race a formality.
They could have just handed the owner the trophy and let the other entries battle it out for the places. Or at least thats what it felt like. Last years Triple Crown champion and PCSO Presidential Gold Cup winner, Hagdang Bato was sent off as the superhypermegaoutstanding favorite and not only won but totally obliterated the rest of the field in the 2,000-meter race held at the Philippine Racing Club,
Inc.s Santa Ana Park in Naic, Cavite. Owned by re-elected Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur C. Abalos, the 4YO bay colt steered by Jonathan Hernandez jumped clean out of the gate at the start and ran in the lead all the way under a tight rein. Hagdang Batos stablemate Barkley ran easily off the pace, followed some lengths behind for most of the race by Patron in third, who faded when the other

Mayor Abalos is not only the owner but also the breeder of Hagdang Bato, who was sired by Quaker Ridge out of Fire Down Under and is thus a half-brother to the mayors other famous champion, Ibarra (sired by Yonaguska), himself a Gold Cup winner in 2008 and Silver Cup in 2010. With this performance, Hagdang Bato has lifted himself even higher above the rest of the herd. He has no match in racing at the moment. If only it were possible to race him abroad! He no longer has worthy opponents here. Are we looking at the winner of this years PCSO Gold Cup?
utstanding favorite Hagdang Bato (Quaker Ridge x Fire Down Under) extended his winning ways by scoring in the PCSO Freedom Cup held February 17 at the Manila Jockey Clubs San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite. Once again, the highachieving colt of Mandaluyong Mayor Benhur Abalos faced off against the sports best import, Javier, Leyte Mayor Sandy Javiers Magna Carta. The last time they battled was also in a PCSO race the Presidential Gold Cup held December 9 last year at the Philippine Racing Clubs Santa Ana Park. Hagdang Bato won that 2,000meter race, but then he carried only 54.5 kgs. while Magna Carta bore 58 kgs. This time around, the scenario was similar - Magna Carta carried a heavier impost of 58.5 kgs. while Hagdang Bato was handed 55. Magna Carta ran in front for most of the mile Freedom Cup with Hagdang Bato
clinging to his flank, until the far turn when jockey Jonathan Hernandez urged Hagdang Bato. They shot past the erstwhile frontrunner and steadily burned up the remaining distance to win by four lengths, posting 1:41 (2523-25-27). Magna Carta came in second, followed by Hagdang Bato stablemate Barkley, Makers Mark, High Voltage, and Chevrome, in that order.

Hi Money and Sky Dragon continued to fight it out until down the stretch, when Boss Jadens jockey, Jeffrey Bacaycay, saw his opportunity to steal the lead and guided his horse by the rail. He stepped on the gas at the far turn and pulled away from the others to win by five lengths. Hi Money settled for second, Sky Dragon third, while Pleasantly Perfect was last all the way. hird favorite Pugad Lawin flew over the dirt track of Santa Ana Park last October 13 to land first place in the PCSO 79th Anniversary Race. The 4YO bay colt, owned by Antonio V. Tan and trained by Ruben S. Tupas, was guided by Patricio Dilema, who steered the island-born runner on a straight course slightly in front of Sky Dragon, who ran off the pace. Divine Eagle bided his time in third.
Sky Dragon faded at the far turn, allowing a still-fresh Divine Eagle to grab second spot, but failed to reckon with Leonor who rallied from the back of the pack at the top of the stretch. Pugad Lawin proved to be in a class of his own by winning wireto wire win five lengths ahead of Leonor, even pulling away in the final stage of the race in honor of PCSOs 79th anniversary. Top choice Divine Eagle placed third and Stand In Awe fourth.
Pugad Lawin (Unstoppable x Refuse to Bend) posted quarters of 25-24-24-26 to finish the mile race at 1:40.2, an average time over a good track. Present at the awarding ceremony, were, from the PCSO Committee on Races, Carlos Castillo, Orlando Malaca, Desoto Tupas, Jesus Villanueva, and veterinarian Romeo Buencamino; from the PCSO Gaming Technology Department, Manager Arnel Casas and Division Chief Ariel de Ocampo; and from the host club, Assistant VicePresident and Racing Manager Daniel M. Valmonte.
The PCSO Presidential Gold Cup: A 41-Year Old Tradition

That the PCSO has maintained this, its flagship race, in the face of the many challenges that beset it, says volumes about how deeply this agency holds dear the tradition it founded and that is a major landmark on the racing calendar each year. The memorandum of agreement for this years staging was signed by PCSO ViceChairman and General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II, Philippine Racing Commission Chairman Angel L. Castao Jr., and Manila Jockey Club President Alfonso G. Reyno III. As in the past several years, Philracom will add P1 million to the hefty P3 million purse offered by PCSO to the winner of this legacy race. Witnesses to the signing ceremony were members of the PCSO Committee on Races led by its chairman, lawyer Jose T. Malang; MJC Racing Manager Jose Ramon C. Magboo and VPMarketing Eduardo de Arellano; Philracom Commissioner Jesus B. Cantos; and others. The race was held for the first time in 1973, during the administration of Nereo C. Andolong, who served as PCSO chairman and general manager. The intention was to serve the lofty purposes of national sports development and to elevate horseracing and horse breeding to a rightful position of respect in the country. Today, this is still the objective of PCSO when it runs the PCSO Presidential Gold Cup, the PCSO Silver Cup, and its special maiden races.
here are few things in this world that last. Time and chance sweeps away even the strongest foundations; to sustain anything for decades is a testament to dedication and perseverance that not all everyone can attain. Thus the fact that the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Presidential Gold Cup is still being held, now for the forty-first time, is a major accomplishment. It is the longest-running continuously-held event in Philippine sports.

But beneath the dry and austere bones of the law beats a warm, vibrant heart, the heart of PCSOs Board of Directors and employees, who have made it their mission to care and share, and give to those who have less in life more of hope and help when they need it, where they need it.
PCSO shares Yolanda relief efforts

Our agency is working closely with the Office of the President on relief concerns and we are expediting all forms of assistance as part of PCSOs quick response policy during times of national disasters.

According to PCSO Chairman Margarita P. Juico, Our agency is working closely with the Office of the President on relief concerns and we are expediting all forms of assistance as part of PCSOs quick response policy during times of national disasters. The PCSO Board of Directors under Chairman Juico has approved a P50 million grant to the Department of Health for their logistical and other expenses in connection with their relief efforts. The Board has also released three water treatment plants for Samar, Eastern Leyte, and Bohol, the latter for postOctober 15 earthquake relief; 100,000 Family Emergency Medicine (FEM) kits comprising mefenamic acid, paracetamol, and loperamide; 3,450 survival kits of sleeping mat/mosquito nets/blanket; and 600 sacks of rice for Eastern Samar and Leyte.

PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II said that P600,000 was also released to purchase generator sets for Culion and Coron, Palawan. We will also shoulder, added Rojas, the medical bills of victims of typhoon Yolanda who are being treated in government hospitals and health care facilities. Related to this, said Rojas, was the coordination made by PCSO with eight hospitals for the treatment of victims who came to Manila via Villamor Air Base. These facilities are Philippine General Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines, Ospital ng
Makati, Makati Medical Center, Philippine Childrens Medical Center, San Juan de Dios Hospital, Ospital ng Muntinlupa, and UPH Dalta Medical Center. The PCSO has also coordinated with the Department of Social Welfare and Development to supply food for the evacuees in Manila and housed in the Tent City in Pasay City. In addition to goods and services, PCSO has also fasttracked the release of lotto shares for host LGUs. In addition, the PCSO Board of Directors led by Chairman Juico will be donating one
months worth of their board and committee meeting per diems to Yolanda relief programs. PCSO directors do not receive salaries, only a fixed amount for every board and committee meeting they attend. The other directors are Betty B. Nantes and lawyers Ma. Aleta L. Tolentino, Mabel V. Mamba, and Francisco Manuel G. Joaquin III. PCSO employees, for their part, started a donation drive, with many gladly giving cash, food (rice, canned goods, noodles, bottled water, and more), clothes, and other items to the relief effort.

PCSO slates schedule for Yuletide Season

For afternoon draws, the selling period will start from 10:35 AM to 11:45 AM with the actual draw at 12:00 NN. For evening draws, the selling period for EZ2 Lotto Draw, Suertres Lotto Draw, and BingoMilyonaryo will start from 12:05 PM, with actual draw scheduled for 2:30 PM. The 6-Digit, Lotto 6/42, and Superlotto 6/49 will be drawn at exactly 2:30 PM. The gaming public is also reminded that Keno (Lotto Express) will start selling at 7:00 AM and will stop at 2:30 PM. There will be no selling and no draws during Christmas Day (25 December 2013) and New Years Day (1 January 2014). For the period of December 26-30, regular draws will be implemented, and PCSO will resume its usual schedule on 2 January 2014.
