Dengue Cases
Trend
A total of 117,658 dengue cases was reported nationwide from January 1 to September 7, 2013.
This is 5.25% lower compared to the same time period last year (124.173).
Geographic Distribution
Most of the cases were from the following regions: Region VI (14.82%),
Region VII (9.38%), Region XII (7.98%) and Region III (7.82%).

Region IVA (13.98%),

Profile of Cases
Ages of cases ranged from less than 1 month to 98 years old (median = 12.83 years). Majority of
cases were male (52.9%). Most (40.03%) of the cases belonged to the 1 to 10 years age group (Fig. 2). There
were 433 deaths (CFR 0.37%).
