Foreign-Trained Professional Mentoring Program This program matches CA mentors with foreign-trained/educated CAsindividuals who are internationally trained/educated and are interested in earning, or in the process of earning, their CA designation. Mentors do not necessarily have to possess similar backgrounds as the mentee. The focus of the mentoring relationship will be on soft skills, workplace/employment skills, and cultural norms and expectations, all with the purpose of helping those foreign-trained professionals succeed in completing their path to the CA designation and maximizing their potential as fully employed professionals. Note: To participate in this program, it is recommended that mentees have achieved a score of 6.0 or higher on the International English Language Testing System; OR achieved a score of at least 550 on the paper-based test and a TWE (Test of Written English) score of at least 4.0 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); OR demonstrated an equivalent level of language competency.
Career Development Mentoring Program This program pairs more experienced CAs with less experienced CAs in order to develop a relationship that can yield insights and opportunities to expand ones knowledge of career options, develop or improve upon work-related soft-skills for career progression, or to achieve meaningful goals determined during the initial meeting. Mentors provide advice and guidance, as well as share relevant knowledge, perspectives, and experiences with the mentee.
