IBRASIL Innovative and Inclusive Brazil is: composed of: - 11 Brazilian and 9 European universities - 3 Brazilian and 2 European Associate partners implemented within the framework of the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Strand 1, Lot 16 Funded by the European Union Based on students and staff mobilities from Europe to Brazil and vice versa

Eligible fields of study and applicants


1. Education, Teacher Training (05) Eligible applicants: Undergraduate students 2. Engineering, Technology (06) Eligible applicants: Undergraduate students, Full Doctorates, Sandwich Doctorates, Staff No other field of study is eligible

Financial support to scholarship holders


Monthly allowance Undergraduate: 1000 euros/month Doctorate: 1500 euros/month Postdoctorate: 1800 euros/month (not available for
European applicants)

Staff:

2500 euros/month

Other financial support Two-way flight ticket Insurance valid during the entire mobility period Payment of tuition fees at the host institution (when applicable)

Eligibility criteria: Target group 1


Applicants must be registered at one of the Brazilian universities members of IBRASIL network at the time of submitting their application Applicants of the target group 1 must have a formal link and support of their universities (a letter of support) Publics concerned and duration of mobility Brazilian applicants: Undergraduate students: 1 or 2 semester(s) Full Doctorate: 36 months Sandwich Doctorates: 6 or 10 months Staff: 1 month

Eligibility criteria: Target group 2


Applicants must be registered in a Brazilian university not member of IBRASIL network or Applicants must have obtained a degree from a Brazilian university (member or non-partner of IBRASIL) but are not currently enrolled Publics concerned and duration of mobility Undergraduate students: 1 or 2 semester(s) Full Doctorate: 36 months Sandwich Doctorates: 6 or 10 months Staff: 1 month

Eligibility criteria: Target group 3


Applicants who hold Brazilian nationality and are in a particularly vulnerable situation for social and political reasons. This group includes, for example, those who:

have refugee status or asylum beneficiaries (international or according to the national legislation of one of the European recipient countries), have been the object of unjustified expulsion from university on racial, ethnic, religious, political, gender or sexual inclination, etc. belong to an indigenous population targeted by a specific national policy or IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons)

Eligibility criteria for all types of mobility


Applicants must :
Hold Brazilian nationality; Must have not resided nor have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the eligible European countries at the time of submitting their application to the partnership; Must have sufficient knowledge of the language of the courses or of one of the languages currently spoken in the host European countries Comply with any specific and additional criteria applicable to each type of mobility Applicants must not have Benefited in the past from an Erasmus Mundus scholarship for the same type of mobility

Eligibility criteria for Doctorate and Undergraduate students


Undergraduate applicants must have successfully completed at least one year of studies in their home institution Doctorate applicants must have already completed their Master degree. If applying for a Sandwich mobility (6 or 10 months), they must be enrolled in a Doctorate course at their home university

Eligibility criteria for staff mobility


Academic and Administrative staff must: Hold Brazilian nationality; Work in a Brazilian university member of IBRASIL network (Target Group 1) or for a non-partner university (Target Group 2)
In addition to these criteria, there may be other defined by each partner university of IBRASIL. These criteria will be specified to the applicants.

Travel costs
IBRASIL consortium will cover the travel expenses for all scholarships holders The unit cost applied corresponds to the direct distance between the location of origin and destination Depending on the Target Group, the location of origin can be the location of the sending institution (TG1), the place of origin (TG2) or the place of residence (TG3)

Insurance
Each scholarship holder will be provided with an insurance coverage in full compliance with Annex IX Minimum Insurance Requirements of the Grant Agreement. Scholarship holders will be covered since their departure, during their stay, until the moment they return home The insurance covers: illness, accident, death, permanent disability, third-party liability, suicide, pregnancy, etc.
