CHAPTER II WORK PLAN

A. METHOD OF IMPLEMENTATION In order to achieve the purposes that already reveal in the first chapter, it is important to create work plan in order easier the process of internship program and to focus on what needed to be understood from the company and compare it from the academic perspective. The work plans were is 6 weeks longs in the internship program. The first week of internship is used as an induction of company culture. The company cultures include start from understanding the company business unit department and understand the correlation among department in process of information flow in the company through department of Information, Communication and Technology. The second week of internship is used to understand the role of ICT department where we were placed in the flow of information inside the business unit. The third weeks of internship were used to analyze the project information necessity to design new system. In procedure of designing, it is needed to understand deeper the company culture in order to maintain the information availability and consistency. The fourth and fifth week used to help in designing prototype by designing the data model and relation table. At this section, the analyzing process was also applied since the type of system development is prototype method. The sixth week or the last weeks were used to create a report and the idea of that gained from previous process. After the report has been agreed by the head of ICT department and Learning department head, the report have to presented in front of the member of ICT department.

B. TIME AND PLACE 1. Place Internship was held on PT Antam Tbk UBPN Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi. 2. Times Internship was held on 28 July 2013 until 14 August 2013. PT Antam Tbk UBPN Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi has five workdays in a week for the main office management. C. JOB DISTRIBUTION Internship has been implemented in Information and Communication Technology Department based on students expertise and their major. In ICT department, Students would be understand about daily job task of ICT department in order to provide the availability information and secure all 7|Page

information through all department in PT Antam Tbk UBPN, Pomalaa and data company itself. After this internship program, Student get many knowledge about how operates the SQL Server and other software that company used to manage complexities information/data.

D. METHODS OF WRITING THE REPORT This internship report use technique and analysis like this: 1. Data Collection Technique a. Direct Observation Observation is the most accurate and desirable method of observe the obstacle and problem that company face and observe the company need in order to improve the performance and reduce the problems/issues that company face. We also are using Naturalness of the setting as our type observation while we observe the company, because we only have limited time to observe the company need, obstacle, and problem. Other reason because we dont prepare for considerable preparation and training of observers. b. Interview Interviews are a series of questions presented orally by an interviewer and are usually responded to orally by the participant. We are preferred Interviews as our technique because it became more open-ended, allowing the participant to provide detailed answers. There are two type of interviews, such as telephone and face to face, because we are in field of study then we used face to face. The benefit used face-to-face interviews can vary from what amounts to a highly structured, oral questionnaire with closed-ended answers to in-depth interviews,

2. Analysis Technique Analysis technique that writer used inside of this report is descriptive. It was a technique that can describe the real situation in the real time and explain all factor that writer experience. The term descriptive technique refers to the type of research observation, data analysis, and design that will be applied to a given topic. Description emerges following creative exploration, and serves to organize the findings in order to fit them with explanations, and then test or validate those explanations (Krathwohl, 1993).
