1. The Contagion of Happiness This article shows some of the psychology behind happiness with the cognitive state and goes into how some things are conscious and some are subconscious. It is good for separating certain aspects such as joy and happiness. How they are different and how they are alike. Evolution was mentioned which was a new subject for my research which was interesting on how it has changed and why. I loved this article and really enjoyed how it talked about with relationships with others and how other happy people make you happy. A smile is really contiguous. Happiness is partly genetic which is interesting because we can only stray away so much. This was kind of a short article and I wish that it was longer. That is the only issue that I have with it. This article is creditable it comes from Harvard University and is credited. It was very helpful and has a few views from other professors that are not a teaching at Harvard but are at other universities. This school has great prestige and I see this to be used as an educational document.

2. Happy Documentary This documentary covered a lot of ground and was very entertaining. It talks about the percentages of happiness, which you have the option to alter some! This documentary also talks about how everyone is born with a certain genetic amount of happiness already. People over estimate good/ and bad emotion and gives examples with the lottery and studies that have been done! KEY! Recover from adversity quickly. The ways that happiness has changes in the last 50 years is talked about which links with evolution and why we are happier now than before. Money and happiness are discussed; it can make you happier, but simply to a point.

I focused on this documentary for my first presentation and the section on money and how it can affect happiness. I love the examples it gives on how you can achieve happiness and I loved that it was very enjoyable and I learned a lot and was able to take detailed notes on what I was seeing. A fun fact is Denmark is the happiest place in the world! Obviously using this for a presentation I think that it is very useful and I got a lot of good information from it. I know this is a credible source because after watching it I looked up the title and looked more into the people they talked about and other information they had listed liked to Netflix. It had all of the directors and was very professional. 3. The Happiness Project The Happiness Project is a book that a woman wrote as she was figuring out her happiness. It shows the steps she took and some of the research that she did before she started her happiness project. Gretchen wasnt depressed and nothing was actually wrong she just believed that she could be happier. She looked into it and realized it is about the everyday things that one does. Each chapter talks about a different step that she took to achieve her happiness and she explains why that step was chosen. I believe that this book is great use to my project because it is a real life experience that also has resources that were used sited. This book was the book that got me interested in the subject. I love the chapters on organization and the everyday thing one can do. The biggest thing I like about this book is that it shows a good process that one could follow to achieve their happiness. This book is a great outline for everyday changes that will make you happier. Even though this book is opinion based I believe it is creditable because it has references to where Gretchen got her research and I am using it more for the outline and an example. This is also the book I am reading for the semester. Gretchen has been interviewed on her book and has done much research on this subject of her own. This book is easily accessible to anyone who wants to read it and it is a very enjoyable and interesting read! You will defiantly walk away with new knowledge that will better you.

4. Using the New Positive Psychology This source I used was an excerpt and I found that it talks about a huge subject which is satisfaction and how to reduce the bad. The purpose of this article is to talk about Mart Seligman and his breaking work. I didnt find this source useful at all. This article had a few good points but until I get my hands on the full text it us not helpful. It looks like it will be as soon as I go to the library and find the book.

I believe that the book is a creditable source because I can see that it is cited and I think that the source I used was creditable as well it was just short and not what I was looking for. 5. Ted Talks. I used multiple ted talks, mainly for sparking ideas for myself. It was a great resource for that reason! Ted talks were also useful because it looks into the psychology side of things, which is a newer subject.
