TEACHING AIDS : textbook , worksheets , flashcards , whiteboard , posters . ASSUMPTIONS: We assume our students have already learnt the forms to verb to be and use of present simple ( affirmative , negative , interrogative). ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS: Our students may need our help in undersanding the prepositions . METHODS: conversation , explanation , observation , grammar exercises. INTERACTIONS: whole class , pair work , T-Ss , Ss-T . ORGANISATION OF THE CLASS: The teacher greets the pupils and asks them a few ordinary questions ( What day is today? / How are you today ? / Whats the weather like today?). Interaction: T- Ss. Timing: 2 minutes

WARM-UP: The teacher asks students to introduce themselves and say their name using the verb to be . Interaction: whole Class Timing: 3 minutes

HOMEWORK CHECK: The teacher asks them about their homework and checks their notebook . The pupils read their homework while the other classmates pay atention in order to correct them . Aims: - to check students homework To correct important errors as they occur;

Interaction: T-Ss , S-S Timing : 5 minutes

Activity 1: SPEAKING Aims : - to identify the names of the family members -to recognize and point the colours in the classroom -to pronounce them correctly Interaction: T-SS , whole class Timing: 5 minutes Procedure: Teacher shows them some pictures of a family . Children look at the pictures and recognize the members of the family. They recognize the colours of the objects in the classrom.

Activity 2: Reading- Speaking Aims: to identify the names of the classroom objects To remember how to conjugate the verb to be To remember the names of the colours To remember the members of the family To pronounce them correctly

Interaction: T-Ss , whole class Timing: 7 minutes Procedure: 1.The teacher points to the children some classroom objects , and they must name them . For example: a desk , a pencilcase , a pen , a pencil , a chair , a book , a notebook , a rubber , a ruler , a door , a window , a blackboard , a school bag , a chalk . The teacher asks the children how to conjugate the verb to be at all forms . The teacher points to the children some colored flashcards and they must name those colours. 2. The teacher asks the children who the members of the family are and the children answer to the questions . For example : mother/ mum ; father/ dad ; sister/ daughter; brother/ son ; grandmother/ grandma ; grandfather/ grandpa . Activity 3 Aims: - to encourage individual work -to review the previous lesson -to recall words from the English language Interaction: T-Ss , T- whole class Timing: 7 minutes Procedure: 1. The teacher will give students their workpapers . 2. The teacher will ask students according to the requirements , to write the objects which are in the image and the colour which is indicated. 3. The teacher congratulates them for their activity during the lesson. Activity 4 Aims: - to encourage individual work -to recall words from the English language -to review the previous lesson Interaction: T- whole class , T-Ss Timing: 10 minutes Procedure: 1. The teacher will ask the students to work individually and solve the exercise from the work-sheet. 2. The teacher reviews how children solve the requirements . 3. The teacher congratulates them for their activity during the lesson.

Activity 5 Aims: - to understand the prepositions:in, on, under, near; - to use prepositions:in, on, under, near; - to recognize objects in the book. Timing: 7 minutes Interactiune: T-Ss, whole class Procedure: 1.The teacher writes on the board the title Prepositions. Children write in their notebook. 2.The teacher says and writes on the board prepositions:in, on, under, near and their translation into Romanian. Children write in their notebook what the teacher writes on the board. 3.The teacher gives exemples from the book and writes on the board unknown words and their translations. Children are attentive and respond to the teachers questions.

Activity 6 Timing: 7 minutes Modes of Interaction: teacher-whole class/teacher-student Aims: -to learn the prepositions -to use the prepositions correctly -to consolidate the information presented in the lesson Procedure: -the teacher presents the students a worksheet with exercises -the children must fill in the blank sentences with correct prepositions -the teacher asks the children to come in front of the class to solve the exercises HOMEWORK: ex.5/p.19 Where is the ball? Make sentences.Use in,on,near,under ex.6/p.19 He,she,it or they?
