Operating Instructions

(check model, area code, motherboard information and so can be modified), the country code and then click on "WritData", as shown in the second figure; you will prompt the software below see the "finished", that means changes are complete. Then exit this software to run a second imei software modifications. Note: At this point can not click "RebootPhone", if this time click on the phone will automatically exit purple screen mode to normal mode, the next step can not be carried imei repair.

Step Five: Run the "Phone Tool", the software will self-test as shown below

What is DFU mode used for? The primary reason people need to access DFU mode on their iPhone is to change the firmware on the device. This can serve to downgrade to a prior iPhone firmware and operating system, or to use a custom firmware that is required for a jailbreak or SIM unlock. For instance, if

you got the iPhone OS 4 download installed and decided you would rather have a prior version of the firmware on your iPhone, you would need to do this through DFU mode.

This is how to achieve DFU mode. You can do it on every phone:

Method 1)

Attach the phone to the pc Turn the phone off Hold power and home together for *exactly* 10 seconds Release power but keep holding home until the pc beeps as a USB device is recognized. At no point will the display come on. Now your restore should work. Having problems? Try adjusting the 10 seconds to be slightly less like 9 seconds, then 8, then 7. Its a tricky timing but you will eventually get it.

Method 2)

Hook up the phone powered on to the PC Now hold home / power until the phone turns off and keep holding for 10 seconds. If the phone ever turns on during this phase,start over and hold for less time. Now release power and continue holding home until the PC recognizes the phone.

I dont like this method as much because there are rumors that it may cause some 1604 errors in the restore. I am not convinced of that though. Method 3)

Exit DFU mode on iPhone

The simplest way to exit out of DFU mode is to hold down the Home and sleep/power buttons on the iPhone while connected to iTunes. Then just hit the power button as and this should reboot the device as usual.
