Article I: Membership Section 1: Any graduate of () in good standing may become a member of a Queens College Alumni Chapter by declaring

intent to join. Article II: Officers Section 1: The President shall be the elected officer of the chapter. The President shall appoint a Secretary. Section 2: The membership shall elect the President from the membership by ballot and the results of the election ill be announced at an annual meeting. The President and the president!s appointed officers shall ser"e # year terms. Section 3: $n the e"ent of absence% death or disability of the President% the Secretary shall act as President until the membership elects a successor. Section 4: The Secretary shall record minutes and retain the minutes of all chapter meetings% shall &eep the roll of members% shall be the custodian of the records of the chapter% shall send out notices of the meetings% and shall perform all other duties pertaining to the office. Article IV: Meetings of the Chapter Section 1: The annual meeting of the chapter shall be held at the date fi'ed by the officers. (easonable notice shall be gi"en to all members of the chapter. Article V: $lections Section 1: There shall be a nominating committee of three (-) appointed by the President hose duty it shall be to present a list of candidates for President. All chapter members are entitled to "ote by ballot mailed to the membership four (.) ee&s prior to the annual meeting or "ia email. Article VI: Committees Section 1: There shall be the follo ing standing committees to be appointed by the President% and to hold office until their successors ha"e been appointed: A% An /'ecuti"e Committee% consisting of the President% 0ice President% Secretary% and committee chairpersons. &% Program Committee. Section 2: The number and composition of the committees is to be left to the discretion of the /'ecuti"e Committee. Article VII: Amendments Section 1: Amendments to these by1la s may be proposed at the annual meeting of the chapter% or in riting by any fi"e (2) acti"e members of the chapter. Such amendments proposed by others% must be submitted in riting to the Secretary for re"ie by the President at least four (.) ee&s before the meeting of the chapter at hich they are to be acted upon. Section 2: $t shall be the duty of the officers to consider all amendments proposed by members and to report its opinion thereon to the chapter.
