Guide on Applying to UK University. The website : www.ucas.

com (similar to UPU) What you need : Your details, personal statement, your academic transcript and other certicates. (If you!re still studying, it is okay to provide your latest results only) Note: There will be fees imposed by UCAS to apply that requires a credit card. Personal statement Short essay on yourself, portraying what you do, activities you joined, and skills you possess. Universities Guide There are a few rankings guide you can check, one of them is The Times Higher Education Guide. Minimum Requirements -I applied using my diploma results. I have friends who applied using Asasi, A-Levels, IB, and other foundation programs as well. If you are from UiTM, there shouldn!t be any problem at all. -Minimum CGPA really depends on the university. The higher the ranking, the better results you need to enter. I really suggest you consult an agent on this. Tuition Fees Again, this depends on the course and university you are attending. Check the University!s website to know more, or email them. Emails are checked and replied regularly in the UK, don!t worry. Deadline UCAS has several deadlines. Most Universities closes application in January, and some extends till March. Help I really suggest you consult an agent regarding your application as it can get quite confusing and complicated. List of education advisor that I can nd : a) MABES http://www.mabecs.com/ (I used this) (British education only) b) IDP http://www.idp.com/ (Australia, UK, USA, New Zealand, Canada) c) AUG http://augstudy.com/malaysia/ (they have education fairs ! Check out their website!) Most of them provides free consultation, and the list is non-exhaustive. I suggest you to google education advisor in Malaysia and informations are all at your ngertips !

Exemptions For diploma holders, there is a very high chance that you will be exempted from the rst year (means you jump straight into the second year) Some universities offer this, some don!t. Again check with your agent. Scholarships and Loans This is the part where I am least expert - I nance my own education here in the UK (well my parents did). But I!ve compiled some informations from my friends : The key is to do a lot of research. The easiest to apply is MARA!s loan (Read: it!s a loan) but from what I heard MARA does not give loans for rst year students. However please clarify with MARA themselves. Take note that the loan only covers tuition fees and not living cost, you will have to apply separately for that. Call them for further questions. Website : www.mara.gov.my You can also check out different websites that compiles the list of scholarships and their deadlines : 1. http://www.malaysiascholarships.my/ 2. http://malaysia-scholarship.net/ Again, the key is to research. Sometimes you have to check different companies! website to see if they provide scholarships. Some of my friends are sponsored by : 1. Bank Negara 2. CIMB 3. FELDA 4. Securities Commission Malaysia 5. AXIATA 6. PETRONAS 7. SHELL You can also check your respective states! yayasan, I!ve got friends who are sponsored by Yayasan Terengganu. p/s : This guide applies to applying to degree programs. I!m not sure about postgraduates and professional programs, but I!m sure lots of information is available online. That!s it guys. I can!t provide you with an easy way to do it because 1) It is not easy. 2) I don!t know everything. This is just one way to do it and there are many other ways to do it as well. Research is the key, google is your best friend. Hope this serves as a starting point. Goodluck ! :)
