For a minute, lets look beyond the private school status updates and ask the big questions:

WORLD?

what do you want for your kids? their future? our

E XCELLENCE

You probably want to provide your children an excellent school, one that will give them college options and then a rewarding career.
Westtown does that exceptionally well. As a PRE-K12tH GRADE QUAKER SCHOOL , we prepare creators, civic leaders and entrepreneurs. Were particularly good at STEM science, technology, engineering and math. (And thats before our new $13 million state-of-the-art, LEED - certied science building opens in January 2014).

The question isnt How do I prepare my kid for college? INStEAD itS:

How do we prepare the next generation to compete in a global economy?

WeSTTOwn HAS An AnSweR:

Enroll kids in a purpose-driven school, surrounded by 600 wooded acres, lled with students from 20 countries and 17 states, and rooted in a rigorous academic approach that emphasizes collaboration, critical thinking and action.

THE POINt is that we need more

Having talked to other Princeton students, I got the sense that their high school experiences were often really about grades and getting into X college. At Westtown, it was never about doing as much as you needed to get an A and then stopping. It was about going as far as you can go, digging as deep as you can dig and often thats way beyond what might get you an A.

than simple excellence. We need a generation of agile, energized, intelligent doers. We need people who collaborate and create, understand and act. We need people whove spent their youth immersed in a value system that presses them to act on their beliefs and that honors the individual.

Students tackle real-world problems and design solutions. In most of our classrooms, students and teachers sit in a circle, facing each other, not a blackboard. Learning to selfadvocate and communicate confidently are pre-requisites in a world in which our children will likely have five, six, seven jobs during their working lives.

WhaT WESTTOWN gRaDS SaY

While were exceptionally good at preparing students for college, we aim higher.

Much higher.
Westtown invests kids with humanity and curiosity. We ll them with a sense that the world is going to get better and that theyre going to be a part of it, as one of our alumni recently put it. After all, when Westtown graduates head out into the world after college, they enter a terrain that demands their leadership, challenges their integrity and requires their adaptability. Four years of college arent enough to prepare them to thrive in a world like that.
