. BITSAA supported innovative and successful projects in the past like Acyut, IFOR, Inspired Kraters among others. There might bemany more student projectswhichrequiresupport&encouragementandBGMistheaptplatformtoshowcasethem. HowtoApply: Studentsmustsendabstractsoftheirprojectsincludingdetailslikewhatthestageoftheprojectisandthe approximatefundingwhichwillberequiredandwhy.Also,theobjective/aimandthetimelineoftheproject mustbementioned.Pleasementiondetailsoftheteammembersaswell(Name,BITSID,PhoneNumber andemailID).

Pointstobenotedwhenapplying: 1.Theprojectshouldbedoneinateam,whichmustbeundertheguidanceofoneormorefaculty members(eithersameorcrosscampus). 2.ProjectDeadlineinitiallyis2semestersafterwhichtheteamcanapplyforanextensionofonemore semester.Itwillbegrantedhowever,onlyafterreviewingtheprogressoftheprojectsofar). 3.StudentmusthavespentatleastoneyearinBITS. 4.Objective/Aimoftheprojectmustbeclearlydefined.. 5.Clearlydefinedtimelineofeachstageoftheproject.

1.ExactnumberofprojectswhichwillbeshortlistedforshowcaseduringBGM'14. Amaximumof4or5 2.Studentcurrentcoursedegree(Single/dualand/orhigher,Ph.D.) OnlyUndergraduatestudents(bothsingle&dual)canapply. 3.Isthisapplicableforbplansalso? Notapplicableforbplans. 4.Howwillthemoneyberoutedtothestudents?(Isitthroughthecampus,orwillitbedirectlygiventothe students?). Themoneywillberoutedthroughtherespectivecampusesafterthefundshavebeengranted. 5.Afterthefundinghasbeengivenandtheprojectcompleted,whosepropertywillitbe?(Creditgoesto studentsorinstituteorwhom). 7.Whowillreviewtheprojectfromtimetotime? Everyprojectshouldhavefacultycoordinatortotracktheprogressandguidethestudentswhenneeded. 9.Infrastructureprovisionneededfortheproject? Instituteinfrastructurecanbeusedand/oravailablefundingcanbeusedtobuyinfrastructurepieces.In thiscase,allthebillsmustbesubmittedtothefacultycoordinatoroftheprojectforauditingpurposes. 10.Categoriesofprojectswhichmustbeconsidered(Technologyadvancement,ecofriendly,smartsystem, innovative) Opentoallcategoriesboththeoretical(Eg:Biosci)&Applied(eg:Mech). 11.Institute'sroleafterfunding.
